any way to get only music events from the api ?

Hi, 

We're trying to add ONLY music events to our site.

We'd like a way to determine the type of event (music, culinary, sporting etc) from your api without having to read through each event description manually.

You've mentioned in a previous topic that:

"We currently don't expose the category of event. Although the showType field look like it is what you want, it is in fact (rarely-used) field that is used to indicate if the show is early/late/matinee.

A large proportion of our events are music concerts. As that changes, we will introduce an event "category" field - but there are no firm plans to do so right now."

How is that update going ?  Do you have any timeframe for adding a "category" field ?

Hey Garth,

This is a feature that I've wanted as well since it would be immensely useful and as we begin to support new events in new spaces it will be increasingly important for our API consumers. For now, I'm afraid we don't have that support but I will work on getting it prioritized for our future work.

I am trying to ingest the same kind of information as Garth. Looking at the API I couldn't find a way to distinguish music events from non-music events. Has the API been updated to provide this kind of filtering?
