Traveling with your little one is a great way to share new experiences with them (and to see family), but most baby products aren't designed to be easy to carry through the airport, on flights, or on road trips.
In Southern California, we can fly out of several airports, so I price them all to figure out how to afford travel and maximize our dollars. Think about all of your possible departure points within a few hours of your home.
That last piece of advice is huge. Those little trips to subway for lunch add up quickly. You can save so much money by just packing a lunch, bringing your own coffee, etc. If you want to travel, you have to make it happen!
I just came across your blog. Great post! Travel is such a great experience for kids of all ages. Taking kids out of school and travelling during low seasons is a great way to save some money and avoid the crowds.
One trend that remains strong: interest in travel advisors for trip planning - 38% of parents have used a travel advisor to book at least one family trip in the past three years and 71% of parents indicate that they are willing to use a travel advisor in the coming years, which is an increase over 2022.
In addition, each year, the U.S. Family Travel Survey asks respondents to rate the travel industry on how well it serves the needs of traveling families. This year, they gave the industry at B+ (better than last year) and noted several areas of friction they would like to see addressed:

Ideal for a few days of travel, Away's chic yet functional bag is made of quality materials (like nylon and leather) and has easy-to-use compartments. Sure, all travel is educational, but on a trip to the adventure park Discovery Cove, your kids will soak up facts about marine life and come away with an even bigger desire to protect it. Accredited by the Association of Zoo & Aquariums, the attraction is best for kids age 8 and up, who are old enough to take part in most of the activities that, along with food and drinks, are included in the admission price. Her family's highlights included Snowflex Tubing in the Ozarks ("All of the fun of snow tubing without the bulky clothes or freezing cold weather") and Silver Dollar City ("Besides great rides, artisans dressed in themed clothing and roamed the park").
