These word search puzzles are free for personal use. They may not be sold or reproduced in any salable form. They may not be used for promotional or marketing purposes. They may not be published elsewhere on the internet. Teachers are welcome to print these puzzles in quantity for classroom distribution.
All of the puzzles are meant to be solved the old fashioned way, with a pen or pencil. Select a puzzle and it will open in a new browser window. Then make a printout. It will fit perfectly on a single sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper.
The object of each puzzle is to find the listed hidden words. In most of the puzzles there are at least 40 words. The words may be hidden in any direction: horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and forwards and backwards.

I just got a reMarkable for Christmas and I'm loving the note taking capabilities, but I keep looking for other uses to make it even cooler. I'm seeing lots of Daily Planner and Calendar PDFs out there, but I thought "Hey are there any Word Search puzzles for reMarkable?"
The program consists of a series of word finds that have smaller and smaller font sizes. Each week, do the word finds for the given font size. By Week 6, hopefully, you can find the words in the 4-point font puzzles without using any glasses. Do not get frustrated if you cannot do the puzzles in the later weeks. The font sizes are extremely small and resemble that of the telephone book.
Anyone is welcome to download and print these word search puzzles for fun. Each puzzle is a two-page, downloadable PDF file. The first page is the actual word find and the second page contains the answers.

Participants: A total of 96 students who agreed to participate in the study and completed all the puzzles were included in the quantitative phase of the study while 21 students who were assigned to the focus groups by simple randomization method participated in the qualitative phase.
Methods: In the study, 3 different puzzle booklets (2 word search puzzles, 2 crosswords, a total of 4 puzzles) were applied to the students four weeks apart during the semester. The data of the descriptive phase of the study were collected with the personal information form. In the qualitative phase of the study, two focus group meetings were conducted and the obtained statements were evaluated using the thematic analysis method.
Results: The students stated that the puzzles included what they needed to learn in the lesson, that they have learned useful information and that they understood the topics they needed to learn in the lesson. Four categories were determined as a result of the qualitative phase of the study: the feelings you get while solving a puzzle, the puzzle with its advantages, the puzzle with its difficulties, and the skills I have developed.
Conclusions: The students stated that they recommend the use of puzzles, that lessons become entertaining, learning becomes easier, their motivation increases and that puzzles provide the memorability of information.

There are two types of puzzles; kid's and adult's, the only difference being the size of the puzzle and the number of words. The kid's puzzles almost always have 18 words, while the adult's puzzles may have over 50. I try to fit as many words as I can on the adults's puzzles. All of the kid's puzzles are lumped into one big category, Kid's Puzzles. The adult's puzzles are broken into 7 categories, General, Geography, Holidays, Letters, Bible, Sports, and TV-Movies.
There may be letters that are unused when you complete a puzzle. The leftover letters are just that. There are no hidden messages or anything like that, just simple little puzzles. I try to make four new puzzles every month and uploadthem to the website on the first of each month.
