Experts from Cultural Heritage Imaging, one of the centres of excellence for advancing the state of the art of digital capture and documentation of the world’s cultural, historic, and artistic treasures are heading to Melbourne and Perth to run for 2 4-day Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI) classes arranged by AICCM.
RTI is a computational photographic method that captures a subject’s surface shape and colour and enables the interactive re-lighting of the subject from any direction. This is a great opportunity to explore a technology that is transforming cultural heritage both in the areas of research and archival recording and learn from the experts in the field.
Melbourne RTI class: Cultural Materials Conservation at the University of Melbourne is from 28 June to 1 July
