I just picked up a 92 for 10.00 which I will keep at work, and I keep my 92 Plus at home.
Can I link these together and transfer basic programs from the plus to the 92? If so what interface comes up to allow this?
Will the same basic programs run on both machines?
Can I use silver link to transfer programs from my computer to the straight 92 if they will not link together?
I found a TI-92 Plus module on Ebay would this be just like a real Plus or just close?
Thanks Dan

You can link these together, and transfer some (not all, IIRC) BASIC
programs.

If I understand the question correctly, there's a single relevant
communication interface on both the 92 and 92+: the legacy I/O, 2.5mm
stereo proprietary jack.

Not necessarily: some programs will, but as the 92+ has more functions,
any program using those functions will not run on the 92, obviously.

Yes, you can of course use the computer to communicate with the 92, in
addition to the 92+.

A Plus module turns a 92 into a real 92+. Old 92+ calculators of the
first hardware revision ("HW1"), i.e. until some time in 1999, are
precisely 92 calculators with a Plus module; newer ("HW2") 92+
calculators are their own design.

The 92 Plus module is exceedingly rare, and a prized purchase...

Bye,
Lionel.
