Bhai Misbah, yes, dietary fiber helps reduce the post-meal glucose spike. But SubhanAllah, the blessed barley bread already contains both soluble and insoluble fiber. Depending on the flour and preparation, 100 g of whole barley bread (with husk) can provide around 8–10 g of fiber. So, when you make barley bread a regular part of your diet, you may not need to add extra fiber in your meal.

My sincere recommendation is that you gradually move away from white rice and white-flour roti and make blessed barley bread your preferred staple instead.

Barley is not just a nutritious food; it also holds a special place in our religious tradition. Let us revive this blessed Sunnah by bringing barley back into our daily lives.

Re: {Tibb-e-Nabawi:7410} BG response to White Rice Bread
This is great work.

Curious to see how the BG responds if someone takes Chia seeds+Flex Seeds + Yogurt 20 minutes before taking rice.

I want to add further that you can replace your childhood habit of eating white rice by boiling Pearl barley, try making Pearl Barley Pulao some day, you will love it more than Rice Pulao.
For those who can't find whole barley in their neighborhood, we recommend Hulled Barley or Pearl barley as the last option, although Pearl barley has no fiber, still it is far better than White flour (Meda) & White Rice.
