Assalamu alaykym ,,

Does anybody has more info about Nabeez / Nabidh ?
As far as my information it is made by soaking the dates or raisins (kismis - black or red) in water overnight or at least for few hours and then drinking that water eat those dates or raisins.

What are faza-el of Nabeez / Nabidh in Islam and what are the health benefits associated with that ?

Zazakallah ...

Assalam O Alaikum..

Nabeez was a Favorite drink of Rasoolullah Sallalaho Aleihi wassalam. A beautiful Drink which can be made with Raisins, Dates or figs. Nabeez is an Alkalizing, reduces stomach's acidity, helps to digest heavy foods, reduces inflammation, a diuretic , and I am sure there must be some other hidden healing benefits in it since it was liked by my Prophet Sallalaho Aleihi wassalam.

There are ample of Articles written by hasan Shami sahab , please check old articles and see website for correct process of making nabeez and its benefits.

Dear Brother,

Walaikum As Salaam,

Nabeez can be made by soaking Raisins, dates or Anjeer overnight or at least for 8 hours. Soaking after Eisha and drinking after Fajr.

You can get recipe of preparing Nabeez from Tibbe Nabawi website.

My practical experience is the best alkaline drink with numerous known and hidden benefits.
Best Regards

Assalam O Alaikum,

Syed-ul-Konaine Wal Thaqalain ~ Rasoolullah Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam loved 3 drinks the most, Honey with water (at an empty stomach), milk & Nabeez.

Nabeez helps to digest heavy foods especially meat, it is also good for urinary tract infections, stomach acidity, urine retention, etc.

From Seerah & Uswah, we get the indication that Khairu Khalqillah was drinking Nabeez even during his Khurooj in the path of Allah.

Tabaqaat-ul-Kabeer quoted for Abdullah Bin Jahash Radi Allaho Anh as :

When Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam went for Khurooj in Ghazwat Ohud, Umm-e-Salamah Radi Allaho Anha brought roasted meat for him (her husband) & then she also served him with Nabeez (blessed drink made by soaked raisins / dates). Then a man drank from the remains of that NABEEZ & it was finally taken by Abdullah Bin Jahash Radi Allaho Anh. While he was drinking NABEEZ, a person asked him "Now you are drinking & do you know where you will get the meal"? Abdullah Radi Allaho Anh said "Yes I know the place (the battlefield). Instead of meeting Allah & I am thirsty. I prefer to meet my LORD and I have already quenched my thirst". Then he prayed for Shahadah & he was martyred. He was buried with Hamzah Radi Allaho Anh in the same grave.

And a beautiful reference (for Nabeez) from Abdullah Ibn Abbaas Radi Allaho Anh is attached herewith…….. so you are indirectly advised to serve your guests with Nabeez.

Zazakallah ....
