Tibb-e-Nabawi diet ~ article # 11 ~ Price tags come from the skies
Our selection for a cooking oil is exclusively the blessed Olive oil which is *Cold pressed, Extra virgin*. In Saudi Arabia, we have the highest quality brands such as Al-Watania, Jofal, Al-Jawf, Nadec, all of them are organic.
We don't like Pomace or Refined Olive oils, but these 2 types can be used for massaging.
If purity is assured, butter and ghee are also permissible, but only in small amounts.
Vegetable oils like corn, sunflower, and palm are never included in our diet plans. But for those who can’t afford Olive Oil, mustard oil or canola oil may be used.
But let us explain why the blessed Olive Oil is expensive.
Allah is the One who sets the prices of foods. Olive oil has been made costly, so that people cannot consume it in excess as they do with cheap vegetable oils. Likewise, mutton has been made more expensive than vegetables and lentils, so that it is eaten in moderation; while vegetables and lentils remain the staple. Do you now see the Divine Wisdom behind these “price tags” that descend from the skies?
While cooking your curry, adding 4 tablespoons of Olive Oil is more than enough; & far better than pouring 150 ml of cheaper vegetable oils.
Price for 4 tablespoons of Olive oil is almost 3.25/- Saudi riyals, while it is 2.50/- Saudi Riyals for 150 ml of corn oil, a slight difference between the two prices.
So, we feel that the WISDOM behind the divine price tags was just for controlling the portion of healthy oil.
Same applies for the prices of mutton, compared to prices of vegetables & lentils.
Allah Himself is controlling your food intake.
