In the Sahihain, it is narrated that Messenger of Allah Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam said "The Virtue of Aishah (Radi Allaho Anha) as compared to other women, is like the virtue of Thareed as compared to the rest of foods".
But no one knows how Thareed was cooked by women of Sahaabah.
It was simply mutton soup/Yakhni without heavy spices, and because Barley bread was the staple diet during Khairul Quroon, Thareed was exclusively prepared with Barley bread (خبز الشعير)
Mutton soup has meat which is hot, oil is hot, and spices are hot, making Thareed with wheat bread becomes invalid because wheat itself is hot and it can’t neutralize the heat of mutton/Yakhni.
So you need a divine advice from Tibb-e-Nabawi, the grain chosen by Allah for your beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, barley bread is cold natured, hence neutralizes the hotness of mutton soup & THAREED having barley bread is the only VALID combination.
Another Hadith which mentions pouring Talbinah over Thareed
Narrated Aisha Radi Allaho Anha: (the wife of the Prophet Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) that whenever one of her relatives died, the women assembled and then dispersed (returned to their houses) except her relatives and close friends. She would order that a pot of Talbinah be cooked. Then Thareed (a dish prepared from meat and barley bread) would be prepared and the Talbinah would be poured on it.
Aisha Radi Allaho Anha would say (to the women),"Eat of it, for I heard Allah's Messenger (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam) saying, 'Talbinah soothes the heart of the patient and relieves him from some of his sadness. Sahih al-Bukhari 5417
In Bukhari’s Hadith above, it is mentioned that Talbinah was poured over Thareed. If Talbinah contained milk, this would be a false food combination since milk and meat are not combined.
Moreover, adding honey to Talbinah and pouring it over Thareed (a dish of meat soup with barley bread) is illogical.
This Hadith clarifies that milk or honey are not compulsory ingredients in Talbinah; it is traditionally made using whole barley flour (with its husk) and water.
When we combine 2 Ahadith above, we reach the following conclusion:
We combined Talbinah with Thareed as the Hadith says, & the recipe is as under :
Patent Thareed recipe combined with Talbinah (as mentioned in Hadith)
