Dear Sir,

It is a very very informative information you provided.

Kindly put some of your views on the difference between safarjal/quince and pears/nashpati.

In pakistan nashpati is easily available. As a same family fruit should we use nashpati instead of safarjal

Regards

Assalamualaikum,

Pear is very different from quince. Infact Quince though is a type of apple but its totally different from all other apples. I am telling this because I have consumed both.

Quince grows abundantly in kashmir, so u might be able to source it from azad kashmir.

In kashmir we usually cook Quince with lamb meat or jam it.
