Back in 2011, we received blood test reports from a patient with fatty liver, showing a notable comparison of cholesterol and ALT/GPT levels before and after undergoing Hijamah. The patient's triglycerides dropped significantly—from 445 mg/dL to 136 mg/dL—marking a 69% reduction. Similarly, ALT/GPT levels decreased from 61 to 28 U/L, a 54% reduction.
ALT, also known as GPT (Alanine Aminotransferase), is an enzyme predominantly found in the liver. It serves as a key indicator of liver function, with elevated levels commonly signaling liver damage or disease.
