For Cholesterol, Hijamah is a suppressor, like putting a fire torch in water directly; called drastic quenching.
Before Hijamah & after Hijamah, I have compared lipids profiles of many patients, it is so strange that Hijamah reduces Triglycerides so quickly.
Similarly, I asked people to stop vegetable oils & switch to cooking with Olive Oil, & when reports were compared, those who used Olive oil had a drastic drop in Triglycerides.
In brief, Hijamah & Olive oil work on your lipids in a similar fashion.
Stop corn oil, sunflower oil, palm oil & all kinds of vegetable oils as they are Polyunsaturated fats, I have seen that they increase Triglycerides, on the other hand, Olive Oil is a Monounsaturated fat & it rarely raises Triglycerides.
Because Olive Oil is expensive, we have some limits for using it in excess, but there is a solution.
Canola oil is also a monounsaturated fat, so for your cooking, you can combine Olive oil with Canola oil.
Cook your curries with a mixture of Olive Oil + Canola Oil, even if you use 10 % Olive Oil & 90 % Canola, I shall be pleased, but please stop Corn Oil & Sunflower Oil.

We discussed yesterday that Hijamah & Olive Oil have a similar impact on your Cholesterol, both of them reduce Triglycerides; & because Olive Oil is a monounsaturated fat, we select other oils which have the same molecular structure.
Mustard
oil is also a monounsaturated fat, it has been consumed as a cooking oil in Pakistan,
India & Bangladesh for the last few hundred of years & still it is
used.
Canola
oil comes from rapeseed oil, rapeseed & mustard seed are almost the same,
their flowers are yellowish & both of these seeds give oil which has Erucic
acid.
Due
to Erucic acid, mustard oil as a cooking oil is banned in the US, it is only
allowed to be sold as an oil for external application (for massage).
Because rapeseed oil also has Erucic acid, its new version came out as CANOLA which has the least Erucic acid, approved by FDA for cooking. Basically, Canola oil should be called “Mustard oil without Erucic acid”.
Research in the West is very strange, the proven evidence & reports oppose & nullify each other.
When
I started www.tibbenabawi.org back in 2010,
Olive oil was mentioned on my website as the best oil for cooking & frying,
before 15 years from today, no one was convinced for cooking with Olive Oil,
but today, I have seen Alhamdulillah that many people have started using Olive
Oil.
When
olive oil becomes expensive & unavailable in most parts of the world
(especially villages & small towns), and when people have to buy the oil
from shops, our choice will be Canola oil because it is a monounsaturated fat.
Then comes the discussion of cold pressed oils & others made in bulk / mass production, again the price is the main issue, so when we are forced to buy cheap oils, Canola is the only option.
