Ignorance is a devastating disease and a deeply entrenched affliction. An ignorant person harms himself and inflicts upon himself what even his enemy could not do to him.
The only honorable cure for the disease of ignorance is knowledge. Whoever takes doses of it will succeed in this world and find happiness in the hereafter. But whoever distances himself from it, his disease will worsen, his affliction will grow, and even the wisest physicians will be unable to heal him.
