We are in the peak summer, & the world has changed & will change more, rising temperatures in the cold regions & countries is one of the signs of Qiyaamah.
I have seen temperatures in Hejaaz crossing 57 Celsius, reaching upto 60 (near volcanoes & the carpeted lava-fields), but when temperature rises in cool areas, it is abnormal.
For summer, Barley's Sattu (Saweeq) drink is the best, it will quench your thirst & will give a chilling effect in your stomach, sweeten it with Honey, molasses, brown sugar & even white sugar if you have no alternatives.
I usually make Saweeq by roasting whole barley flour (it is easier) but the folk / old village styled Sattu (Saweeq) was prepared by dry-roasting barley grains & then they were ground.
That Sattu was sold in the streets by poor people, & I remember that it was coarse, not like a flour, it was sweetened by Shakkar (brown sugar).
