Tibb-e-Nabawi diet ~ article # 13 ~ FIBER

From the very 1st day this world was created, Allah designed human food with perfect wisdom and balance. It is remarkable that animal-based foods (proteins) — such as meat, chicken, fish, and fats like butter, ghee, animal fat, and oils — naturally have no fiber. In contrast, foods that contain carbohydrates are the very foods enriched with fiber: grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, and beans. Even honey comes in a natural fiber package — the honeycomb itself.

Fiber is one of the most essential components of a healthy diet. It supports proper digestion, helps lower cholesterol, and improves blood sugar control. A lack of fiber in the diet can contribute to many serious health problems, including colorectal cancer, digestive disorders such as constipation, hemorrhoids, and diverticulitis, as well as heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.

When one studies deeply the wisdom behind the foods of Tibb-e-Nabawi, it becomes clear that fiber was one of the most prominent elements of that blessed diet. Much of this came from the blessed grain of barley, often used with its chaff intact. Talbinah, barley bread, barley soups, barley water, Sattu (barley drink), and barley Hais with dates; all represent beautiful and nourishing forms of dietary fiber, containing both soluble and insoluble fiber.

That is why, when we design Tibb-e-Nabawi diet charts, fiber remains one of our main priorities. Depending on the food combinations and variations used, our diet plans typically provide around 40–70 grams of fiber daily to support optimal digestion, metabolism, and overall health.

Without Barley & its chaff, it is very difficult to achieve a daily fiber intake of 40 grams.
