Faghiyah (Henna Blossom)

Faghiyah refers to the flower of the henna plant and is considered one of the most fragrant herbs. Al-Bayhaqi narrated in his book Shu'ab al-Iman from Abdullah ibn Buraidah, who reported from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "The master of fragrant herbs in this world and the Hereafter is Faghiyah." It is also narrated from Anas ibn Malik Radi Allaho Anh that he said: "The most beloved fragrant herb to the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم was Faghiyah." However, the authenticity of these narrations is not confirmed, and it cannot be definitively attributed to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم without verified evidence. Faghiyah is moderate in heat and dryness and has mild astringent properties. When placed between layers of woolen clothes, it protects them from moths. It is also used in ointments for treating paralysis and muscle stiffness. The oil extracted from Faghiyah helps to relieve tension in the body and soften the nerves.
