Clip from assignment # 5, problems & solution for marital life

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger () as saying: A believing man should not hate a believing woman (his wife); if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another. (Sahih Muslim 1468b)

Explanation:

The word "fark" (فرك) means hatred and enmity. This Hadith emphasizes that a husband should not harbor enmity or hatred towards his wife, even if he finds something in her character that he dislikes. This is because a person is obligated to act justly and consider the overall situation. Justice requires balancing between a person's faults and virtues, and weighing which is greater in number and impact. The greater and more impactful aspect should prevail. This is true justice.

This Hadith encourages maintaining a balanced perspective in marital relationships, focusing on the positive qualities of one's spouse, and not allowing dislike for a particular trait to overshadow the sweetness in the relationship.
