After a more than a year of silence in this group ( it seems to be that nobody develops anything except me ) I like you to know that the website
www.tibastro.be
has some more facilities for developers.
Registered users did know this already as they will receive update e-mails.
Once you are registered ( absolutely free and only needed to keep track of your individual entries for persons, countries, cities, etc. ) you can via contact -> User roles select that you want to have a developers role. After that you explained why and sent the request and you got this role you have the possibility to download a sample internet application, a sample windows application and various classes like planet, mewa and Tibcal ( more classes coming ).
The developer automatically also has acces to Test classes, where you can see and check what the various methods within a class do ( currently Planet and Mewa class ).
The Tibcal class used in the window and internet sample is a conversion from the Tibetan Calendar software from Edward Henning. The used version does not use the slow BCD calculations anymore as most of the variables used are so called 'long' giving the accuracy needed for the calculations.
In the windows download there is also a setup for a Tibetan calendar date conversion where you have the choice between Phugpa, Tsurphu, Generalised error correction, mkhas pai snying nor and New genden calculation. In this example you can see that the program shows the year, month and day information based upon the date. Automatically when you select a date before the start of the current year the previous Tibetan year is taken for the information needed.
Everything you download is tested with the free downloadable version of Visual studio 2015 community
