Fast forward to 19 year old Izzy. She started medical school and learnt what anxiety was for the first time and started using running as an outlet. This was mainly on treadmills and to be honest for the first few years was a bit of a love/hate relationship because I looked at it as a way to burn calories. Most would agree that being corrupted by diet culture and thinking about burning calories is generally a negative thought process which made it hard not to draw negative associations with running too.

I re-joined a run group and since then (2015) running has been a constant in my life and I now love running more than I ever have. I think this new found appreciation comes from the fact that working in oncology makes you acutely aware of your own mortality, which in turn makes you want to feel as alive as possible. Nothing does this more than the feeling of your heart racing, muscles burn and lungs screaming for air. I no longer think of these hard sessions as torture, but more of an exercise in gratitude of what my body is capable of.

The hardest relocation was moving from Australia to the UK. Australia has a reputation as a society riddled with racism, but it was so striking to experience racial abuse at a much higher intensity and frequency in England. Since this was my third relocation, the flying, the border security, and the administrative burden had become rather predictable. It was the passive-aggressive hostility (and sometimes direct threats of violence) that were truly exhausting. For the first 2-3 years that we lived here, my only friends were colleagues that I worked closely with. Until we made friends who shared similar values and were willing to socialise with us, the UK was a lonely place to be.

Auckland has also had a good access programme which prioritised minoritised ethnic groups who experience financial hardships. In 2003, when I enrolled in my BSc degree, both my parents were unemployed. While access to interest-free student loans is excellent in New Zealand, there were other costs (e.g. commuting, textbooks, and a laptop PC) that I could not afford. A $1000/year Access award that I was granted helped me offset some of those costs, particularly at the beginning of the academic year.

Brexit has indeed very much boosted anti-European racism but I believe it is the BLM movement and the volatile nature of the pandemic period that have boosted racism against people of colour. Racism has become more visible because BLM has sparked more open conversations about it and, in the UK, it has ignited a very significant anti-BLM backlash. This is also not helped by a gradual but definite lurch in the media outlets towards right-wing politics and their increasing willingness to normalise racist rhetoric. Media outlets such as the BBC and the Guardian that have classically been academically inclined (or at least evidence-based) in their journalism have now opted for sensationalism. So, the media is at least partly responsible for the greater visibility and greater normalisation of racist language in the UK.

It was entirely unsurprising to me because we live in an era where populism trumps the truth (no pun intended). This means that if there is popularity to be gained or attention to be grabbed, people or organisations which perpetuate racism can briefly appear sympathetic to the victims. I am a great believer that institutions like governments or universities should be judged both on their individual actions as well as long-term conduct. So, it is really important that we constantly think critically and reflect deeply whenever we see inconsistent language or statements around topics such as racism.

Being out as trans however is a slightly more complicated experience, perhaps because society still believes it is a controversial subject. So much so, I often fear for my life when out in public spaces. I used to be a keen outdoor runner. These days, I would only feel comfortable about exercising outdoors in the early hours on weekends.

Haven - ill start this on a positive note. the enemy viewcones are great. i cant believe we still havent gotten a screwdriver unlock however - id like to be able to electrocute all the targets without having to run to get a screwdriver first. i dont know why ioi wouldnt just let us do that straight away.

ive been playing since codename 47. theres just something about paris that i dont like. too many guards. colorado has the perfect amount. its very fun to saso. i have some other critiscms towards haven - its too big. there should be less target. one target, with it about the size of the ica facility (absolutely perfect map btw) would be perfect. other criticisms for dubai include - the inside of the building isnt made of gold. checkmate. its also too hard of a mission. i think there should be more guidance.

You know what blows? Wearing pants. Specifically, the social obligation to do so in order to consume alcohol in public. Judge me if you must, but I am hard pressed to believe anyone enjoys wearing pants while drinking. They are a very restrictive piece of clothing that does not lend itself well to excessive bloating. Take a minute to reflect on the history of great drinkers. What were they wearing? The Romans? A sheet. The Egyptians? Half a sheet. Oliver Reed? He just took his pants off.

You know I agree with everything that has been said here. I'm actually scared that someone will start complaining about how Livonia is "too hard, we're dying to often, the weather is stupid and unpredictable blah blabh blah" and they will change it. I say, lets keep it the way it is, with weather, loot spawns and all the difficulty. Maybe just overhaul where some items spawn for it to make more sense but don't change the rate of loot spawn or something like that.

"First of all, it is in my and the Wolf packs interest to know things like this. Now I do not spread romers without telling it is infact a romer. In this case I tend to believe what I heard, seen and experienced that all I sead is true. Now if I hear anything that indicates that something have changed I will ofcourse investigate that fact and report my findings to anyone willing to listen"

As for @Major, I will explain why I have an IC issue with Legion. Some time ago, we were allied with Wolfpack. As our neighbors in Novaya, we had always tried protecting them and going to war for them. When the pub owners came to do business, one member of ours dropped an initiation and threw a grenade prematurely. In that time, @Hunter, also known as Lukas in WolfPack, begged them not to hurt anyone in WolfPack because they were not involved. Though I died, I returned some time later and found people going through WolfPack's things. I couldn't remember what Lukas said due to NLR or that they chose not to aid us, but I should clarify they could not shoot back with defender rights because it was an invalid initiation OOC'ly, but in mine and many of my group's eyes IC'ly, they could've re-initiated. I went to start problems with the intruders because I still IC'ly believed WolfPack were allies, but the individuals there at the time told me that Lukas had betrayed us - that he begged the pub owners not to hurt them and that they weren't going to help us. This is where my desire to find and kill Lucas stems from.

How this ties into my issues with Legion IC'ly is that they are, from my IC understanding, protecting them. As well, I found out IC'ly that they killed a member of our group (perma'ed since he broke NVFL) while raiding our base on a contract. Now, I have heard two different reasons IC why Legion is with WolfPack. One is that they're protecting WolfPack, the second is that they're protecting their compound. Both prevent me from getting to Lukas, who is my primary target for betrayal and reason to believe WolfPack started acting so different towards us. Should I get to Lukas and PK him (end goal), my issues with Legion would practically end. Until then, Legion is the only real competition we have (no shade, but nobody else ever starts anything with us). Legion has made hunting WolfPack worthwhile because there is a real fight to getting to them, and if we eliminate Legion, getting to WolfPack is a lot easier.

Please remember this is a feedback thread, not a thread about how horrible of a leader you believe Mouse is. You are new to the community and many of us are seasoned vets who have a lot of RP experience on this server. Mouse's character is just that - a character. You have taken how he acts on a video game and let it sway your opinion of him overall. Things do get said in the heat of the moment OOC sometimes, as I'm quite sure you are aware, but should Mouse really be what you are describing him as, this group would be empty.

In 2008, I graduated high school, with a full academic scholarship to Northeastern University. I was a studious teen, but I also loved art, and throughout my life, I struggled with choosing whether I should pursue dance, or utilize my love for numbers and work in the corporate world. I chose to attend college because I was told that it was the next step in life. I had a full ride, and denying free money in the Black Community was unheard of. In hindsight, I wish I would have waited. I attended Northeastern for two years before depression from childhood trauma started to kick in. I lost my full-ride scholarships and dropped out of college. I struggled throughout this time in my life. I felt like a failure, and I needed to get therapy. Another taboo in the African American community. However, I took the time to get the help I needed, picked myself up and continued to work hard.

We previously reported on Drizzy taking hard hits over mentions of a "stallion" lying about getting shots, with many believing he was speaking on Megan Thee Stallion. He also called Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian a "groupie" and it earned a wave of backlash.

Still, Her Loss has become another certifiable hit for both Drake and 21. In Hip Hop, there are often conversations regarding what duo would thrive on a joint project. Here, we see the OVO mogul and Atlanta star have made their own magic, but Boosie Badazz believes he and his collaborator could do better.
