You must get your brush out by or on the date listed because crews start early on the Monday following the scheduled set-out date. If you wait until later in the week, you are likely to miss your collection chance. Crews will not return for piles set out late.

Brush piles that will take longer than 10 minutes to collect will be assigned to a truck-mounted crane. The crane vehicle, or clam, will typically arrive within three business days of the chipper crew.

Ever since I first worked professionally as a character designer for Disney Feature Animation I simply wanted a photoshop brush that would produce a nice line out of it. Other artists would share their personal brush sets but there were way too many to use and none of them drew their art purely in line. I looked up to great line artists from the past like Ronald Searle, Hank Ketcham, E.H. Shepard and always wondered if I could produce the same line quality in photoshop.

After 7 years of development, it's finally available! These 8 brushes have been personally fine tuned to produce impressive ink lines as close to the real thing as possible. These brushes are improved versions of what I used on the Tangled End Credits sequence; which were heavily inspired by Searle and Ketcham.

I am not seeing these icons. I will say that I do not have anything other than the bog standard brushes plus the ones I have made. Every category of brush that I choose lets me use it as an eraser. On pixel layers, no Vector brushes.

OMG thank you @iconoclast. That is exactly what I was looking for. I'm not looking forward to the task of having to go through each and every brush, in each and every application on both macOS and iPadOS (x2) and change that setting (ahem, some brush management and scripting features would be awesome), but at least it gives me a way to deal with it now. Thanks again.

With regards to brushes and erase options...I have never really assigned a specific brush to function as an eraser!...as you can just hit the 'E' key when using a brush to switch toggle to erase mode...Also you can use Control key with pixel brush mode in the same way...

Do you have examples of brushes that cannot be used with the Eraser Brush Tool? As far as I know, any brush can be used with the Eraser, though for ones specifically associated with some other tool you may need to switch to the Eraser after choosing the brush, as mentioned by StuartRC.

It is possible that is is simply a remnant of the creation process for 3rd party brushes.. If they were created using photo and assigned a tool...that's fine for photo. but the option is not yet available in designer... I am sure it will get added at some point!... cannot help you with the iPad...don't have one!

Brushes in Affinity format (.afbrushes) work the same on all platforms (PC/Mac/iPad). It should be noted that vector brushes can only be used with Affinity Designer or the Design Persona in Publisher. Vector brushes cannot be used with the Erase tool.

(Pixel) brushes with an eraser automatically switch to the eraser tool when selected. Theoretically, you could also paint with them, but then you would have to manually switch back to the brush tool. The other way round, all (pixel) brushes can also be used as erasers, you just have to switch to the eraser tool.

Sorry to say so, but that doesn't seem to work this way. I just checked this with some Frankentoon Brushes (Crayon Box, for example) where the brushes a specifically assigned to the brush tool. Selecting a crayon brush preset from that set switches the active tool to the brush. Manually selecting the eraser afterwards doesn't make the eraser use this crayon brush preset. Selecting the crayon brush preset active eraser tool switches back to the brush tool again.

Don't know if someone already had the idea, because I didn't read the whole thread, but you could also paint with the brush tool and any brush you want on a separate layer and apply the Blend Mode "Erase" (the last one in the menu) to it.

Our synthetic brushes are made specifically for long-lasting use. Our brushes are a specially formulated mixture of Nylon and Polyester tapered filament in different lengths and diameter ratios. This mixture was developed to provide the right amount of stiffness while also providing enough flex with bend recovery. The amount of tapered filament used in the mixture allows for a smooth release of the paint application onto a surface evenly. Our synthetic brushes are able to keep their shape without becoming deformed when used in Dixie Belle water-based paints as their stiffness changes very little. We developed these brushes to be dense having a lot more filament in them than you typically would with these size brushes

One of the more important parts of our brushes is the finishing process done to the ends of the filament. There is the right amount of tipping which grinds each filament tip to a finer point and flagging which splits the end of the filament tip like hair. Both the tipping and flagged is performed to specific depths on each filament strand. The flagging allows for more paint pickup, to cover more space and laying paint down smoothly on a surface.
