NordVPN is updated often to keep pace with evolving cyberthreats. Some updates are minor, intended only to improve the UI, while others add new handy features or fix critical bugs. For your online security, it is very important that you use the latest version of NordVPN.

In very rare cases, you may encounter a bug where the NordVPN updater keeps restarting without finishing the update. In those circumstances, reboot your device, uninstall NordVPN, and download the latest NordVPN version manually.

So, I checked the receipts and the credit card that I last paid with isn't outdated. They've just straight up resorted to lying to trick you into re-subscribing. Their shadiness was the entire reason for why I turned off my auto-renewal in the first place.

The third command worked fine and NordVPN was installed ..... HOWEVER .... I noticed that my Bluetooth keyboard was disconnected ..... and it took forever to get it connected again ..... I seemed to have a big problem using the terminal to load certain programs mostly telling me I didn't have permission ...... even though I used sudo ..... it gave me some suggestions but when I copied and pasted these suggestions .... as I have done in the past ..... in the command line these didn't work with no further suggestions .... there were other problems but to numerous for me to remember ....

Thanks .... I have Nordvpn installed and operational now after playing with it for quite sometime now th problem is it keeps telling me to sign in but when I try the stupid website says "OOOOPS something is wrong please go back to the website" ..... 0-and around and around we go ..... still working on that ..... looks like a browser problem rather than an OS one ..... all these programs on this version .... 12-09-2010 ... are way out of date including my browser .....

I just backup my documents, and reinstall everything. I don't bother with settings and stuff. If my system is screwy it buggy I don't want to copy corrupted files or settings over, that goes for Linux window or macos.

Man...that is hosed up, and I don't even know as much as most others here do! I have reinstalled Zorin Pro several times due to "me problems" and to me it looks like you may have been installing/removing other packages with Terminal while the system was installing/upgrading.

Sorry folks but I can't reply to you right now ..... I broke all my fingers with a hammer ..... now maybe I will quit tinkering with stuff .... I totally fowled up the new Zorn OS I just installed yesterday big time ..... I as so ashamed I didn't even bother to try and get help on the board .....

But all s well once again as I formatted the HD and reinstalled Zorn 16 Pro from Rescuezilla and we are once again on the road to recovery .... but this time I will make a new backup of Zorn on Rescuezilla as I don't quite trust myself with Timeshift yet .... I want to do this while EVERYTHING is working great .... cause you never know what tomorrow will bring ....

By the way all these turmoils I was having with my old wireless mouse and keyboard disappeared ..... they are now working flawlessly .... also the 3 buttons .... Min ... Max ... and Delete in the very top right hand corner are working just fine ....

Timeshift looks like a much better option for that .... I did a whole drive backup of my old buggy system on Timeshift but don't want to install it for obvious reasons ..... I'm going to play with this system for a while yet to make sure it stays healthy before I try another whole disk backup with Timeshare ..... besides I need to learn more about the program ....

I finally got NordVPN to work .... I went to their website numerous times to no avail ..... even spent wasted time with their animated problem solver ..... it had me reinstall Nord and one of the steps was to run "sudo apt upgrade" again but this time with out the -y any way doesn't seem to be any problems with the upgrade this time but Nord still didn't work .... I kept getting a "no such command" or something to that effect ....

Hi, so basically NordVPN app always worked incredibly smooth on my mobile phone and I basically never had problems like this. Yesterday, there was an update available for app so I just updated it (cause why not, but I made mistake, if it's indeed related to that newest update) and since then Internet randomly goes down, web pages suddenly don't load (have to wait few seconds, refresh several times etc), applications crash because I guess there is no Internet connection for several minutes (though it does show that Internet is connected and VPN app itself gives no issue). Internet works completely fine without VPN, and this issue happens with both Wi-Fi and mobile data, that's why I don't think this is just a coincidence.

This notification is getting on my nerves, atleast using it for windows 10 is annoying. There seems to be a new version out almost every week. And I just want to get to the select panel in peace without having to click all these layers away.

Ever since I upgraded to pfSense 2.5.0, my NordVPN interface does not work anymore. Traffic does not get routes to the NordVPN gateway, as pfSense reports it as "down" with 100% package loss. When checking "Status -> OpenVPN" the connection is reported as UP, but the gateway is DOWN. I don't understand how this is possible, but the log provides some clues, although I don't understand what goes wrong when reading the log.

In Firewall -> Rules -> LAN I adjusted the "default allow LAN to any rule" to the gateway "NordVPN". Outbound NAT is set to manual, with the top rule taking the LAN net as source and the NORDVPN interface.

I installed the NordVPNSetup.exe that I just downloaded, and it installed NordVPN v6.40.5. Within minutes, my new installation of NordVPN told me there was an update available, that I should click UpdateNow to update to NordVPN v6.41.10. I think that is just terrible. I think the way NordVPN handles updates is terrible. Why does a company that is a merchant of something as serious as a VPN take this so lightly? NordVPN should post current, clear and thorough release notes for each update complete with the date that the update was released, all the changes that the update will make, and an appropriately named setup.exe file that includes in the name the version number of the update. Instead, we get a truly half-assed method where the "download latest version" button links you to an old download, the Update Now feature of NordVPN is absolutely broken, the latest release notes page on their website dates back to October 6 and version 6.40, and the information found on that page is limited to flippant and juvenile remarks such as "We've tweaked things here and there" and "A few tweaks under and above the hood".

If this VPN company cannot do something as basic as providing setup files with proper version numbering, and is so lackadaisical and unserious about the information given in the release notes, how are we expected to trust them to take things seriously behind the scenes? I have a year left on my account. I will spend the time looking for another VPN service.

It is Dec 17, 2021. I found a link to the most recent version of NordVPN setup file (6.41.10) and I will post it below. I downloaded it. Before I installed it, I decided to give my installed version of NordVPN (6.40.5, which is the version currently linked to the "Download latest update" on Nord's home page) a chance to see if its "Update Now" has fixed this broken update process. I closed all running apps. I disconnected the VPN. I clicked on "Update Now". It appeared to download and update itself. It reported that the update was successful. It connected the VPN. I could see that I have the new blue NordVPN icon in my system tray. I checked the NordVPN settings and it says I am updated to 6.41.10 and up to date. Browsing works fine. I can disconnect the VPN, browse just fine. Re-connect the VPN, all appears to be working. Shut down the pc. Turn it back on. NordVPN launches. It does not connect and gives me an error window that says the background process is not running, click here to try again. I click, it takes a minute, it finally connects. I shut down the pc, I start it back up, same NordVPN error. So, I'm back to having to uninstall and re-install manually. Again.

The Nord VPN update popup is extremely annoying. It has a "Remind me Later" option but it seems like it comes back after an hour or so. Trying to get some work done and this popup keeps appearing. In the past VPN updates have caused me grief and time where I had to re-install the app again and re-configure it. I do not want to deal with it now. Why can't the have a remind me later in X Days type of option or better yet don't remind me again for this update. I will deal with it when I have time.

After a few months of not using qbittorrent or Nord, I needed to grab something and fired it all up. It had all been working just fine for years. This time, nothing, with qBT reporting a connection status as offline, and unable to connect on the listening port.

Please help me figure out what Nord is blocking, and how to turn it off. Forcing redirects to login from the browser instead of in the app was bad enough, and now this? So far extremely unimpressed with the newest NordVPN.

When i use nordvpn-bin the app say in the terminal that it is out of date and needs an update. However, when I run yay -Syu or yay -Syu nordvpn-bin or just uninstall and reinstall it, the error persists. Is there a fix to this is or is it a problem with the package itself?

yes that is the build that pacman says i have but that's not the point I'm making. I'm saying nordvpn itself it saying its out of date meaning that in all likelihood the binary is out of date on the aur unless there is a seperate explaination.

Also is it me or there like an update every 2 days or something and clicking remind me later last like an hour before they ask you to update again, I guess they are adding servers and stuff but I have never been that much annoyed with a program wanting to update in my life, I wish there was a way to turn them off or limit updates to once a month idk, I don't see anything in the options.
