FlightDeckis a drop in launcher for DCS that has additional functionality to make managing DCS a little easier. It allows you to easily organize and access your kneeboards, keep DCS updated, change graphics settings, and more.
Manage Kneeboards: Auto-detects your installed aircraft to allow you to drag-and-drop your kneeboards from places like discord, into the proper locations. You can remove and reorganize them too.
This seems very promising. Have you looked at "Kneeboard Builder"? It has a pretty nifty feature. Removal of the default kneeboards, which I find mighty useful to de-clutter the kneeboard By removing the charts I have no use for in a particular mission. I also use Skatezilla's excellent GUI Updater/Launcher app extensivel. It has a ton of features. I particular like that I can make/launch presets, so it's easy to switch between graphic settings etc.
Cheers!

Having the option to remove the default kneeboards seems like good idea and a relatively easy thing to add to this. I will keep that in mind and add it to the list of future improvements. Thanks for the suggestion!
Also, FlightDeck can make and launch presets in the way you described already.
Of course, essentially each aircraft would have all my kneeboard pages in a "master list" (aircraft specific) and I could select which ones to add and remove from the "live" kneeboard folder at any given time. Removing from the "live folder" would not remove it from the master list. That way I can drop in kneeboard pages for carrier ops if needed, or weapon specific references based on loadout, etc... Bonus points for being able to click on an 'add' button to browse and select new pages to add to each aircraft master list:)
Quick question: Given the announcement in this week's newsletter about ED developing their own new launcher, do you still plan to continue developing Flight Deck? It looks like you'll still have some key features that one will be missing initially so it would be great if you continue working on it, but I'd also understand if you choose not ton continue.
As for the future of FlightDeck, I do intend to continue to support and continue to add features to it even in the light of ED's launcher news. The question right now is whether it remains a launcher or if some of the other features will be broken out and expanded on like the kneeboard manager.
Smart Launcher 6 is a launcher that has been working on improving its features since its original release in 2012 and has won numerous awards for the best app of the year in different years. With this prestige, the app allows you to enjoy your Android device like never before, thanks to a carefully customized experience for each user.
One of the first things that strikes you about Smart Launcher 6 is how easy and quick it is to set up. After installing the app, you will need to grant all the necessary permissions for it to work correctly, which, as is the case with many launchers, are numerous. Once you have done this, wait a few seconds for the app to automatically sort all your icons in a very similar way to how iOS has done since version 14. Of course, if after this automatic organization you are not happy with the location of an icon, you can move it manually.
After the automatic icon configuration, the next step to start enjoying what Smart Launcher 6 offers is to choose your theme and wallpaper. By default, the app will give you the choice of keeping your own wallpaper, but if you prefer, you can choose from a range of high-resolution images. Then, you will need to select a theme. You can choose your desired color for backgrounds, surfaces, elements on surfaces, etc. In short, you can set up your own color scale so that your theme suits your taste and looks completely unique.
Another highlight of Smart Launcher 6 is the ability to easily manage and customize several gesture shortcuts. It's up to you. You decide what you want to happen when you swipe in a given direction. For example, by swiping from left to right, you can open the settings menu while making it so swiping from top to bottom opens your recent apps. You can also configure the Home (double-tap) and Back (long press) buttons. This way, you can open all your favorite apps quickly.
Download the Smart Launcher 6 APK and start enjoying what is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious launchers on Android. The app is brimming with features and offers a beautiful and elegant design you can customize. It is an outstanding launcher that continues to improve with each new update.

That lack of permanency makes launchers much different than aftermarket firmware replacements, commonly referred to as ROMs, that have guided Android's customization spirit since the operating system's early days. More than just an app, a ROM is essentially a different version of the Android operating system that's meant to replace the operating service that came with your phone.
While they offer a robust way to make sweeping changes to the way your phone looks and works, there are also disadvantages to using a ROM. The installation process can be daunting and long, and you will very likely void your phone's warranty along the way. Also, there's a small chance you could brick your phone, which renders it unusable.
As a result, ROMs have dropped in popularity in recent years, and launchers have taken their place. That shift has a lot to do with how easy launchers are to install -- you just download them from Google Play like you would any other app. It also helps that the effects of a launcher can easily be undone.
Almost every launcher falls into one of two categories: design or "smart." Design launchers focus on letting you change the entire layout of your Android phone's home screen, creating simple designs or more elaborate ones that look like carved wood or a collage of photos. You also can add custom gestures to your phone, such as double-tapping the screen to open a specific app.
"Smart" or adaptive launchers seek to put the most relevant information front and center throughout your day, as you wake up, head out on your commute, work at the office, and spend a night on the town or at home watching TV. I prefer to call "smart" launchers home-screen replacements because they replace your normal home screen setup with a new experience. Just remember that you often cannot modify your phone's design using a home screen replacement. Below, I'll discuss both categories in more detail.
Let's first take a look at design launchers, which were the first type of launchers to really take off in the Android community. These apps are used to modify or completely overhaul your Android home screen, which you reach by tapping your phone's home button or hotkey. This is where your wallpaper and widgets live, and where you can store shortcuts to apps.
