Python Full Stack Developer (AWS)
Location: Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $65.00/hr C2C

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Development Experience: 5+ years of professional development experience, specifically with Python application services.
- Full Stack Stack: Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Redux, and NodeJS.
- AWS Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SQS.
- Cloud Native Design: Proven ability to build scalable serverless and stateful systems on AWS using Microservices and GraphQL.
- Data & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- DevOps: Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and using version control (GitLab) in an Agile environment.
- AI/ML Focus: Experience with model hosting, GenAI, or AI/ML certifications is a strong plus.
Role Overview
The Technology Specialist joins Ally’s Model Hosting Platform team to design and build a self-serve portal for AI/ML modeling teams. This is an end-to-end Cloud Native Application Development role (not a Data Engineering role) focused on enabling teams to host AI/ML models as performant APIs. Based in Charlotte or Detroit, you will develop the UI and backend logic that allows for safe, automated, and high-availability model deployment across the enterprise.
Technical Core & Responsibilities
UI & Full Stack Engineering
- Platform Portal: Design and contribute to the front-end interface using React and TypeScript, ensuring a seamless self-service experience for data scientists.
- State Management: Implement complex front-end logic and state management using Redux.
- Mobile Integration: Utilize React Native where applicable for cross-platform accessibility.
Serverless & Backend Architecture
- Python Services: Develop backend application services in Python, focusing on high-performance model hosting logic.
- AWS Orchestration: Build and manage serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions and Lambda to automate model deployment cycles.
- Microservices: Implement microservice patterns and GraphQL endpoints to provide flexible data retrieval for modeling teams.
Quality & Performance
- Comprehensive Testing: Foster best practices by developing unit tests, integration tests, and performance-based developer testing.
- Infrastructure as Code: Manage and deploy cloud resources securely using Terraform and IAM/Security Groups.
- Troubleshooting: Perform deep technical analysis to resolve complex platform issues and performance bottlenecks in the model hosting pipeline.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Agile Execution: Work independently to manage technical activities, meeting strict timelines and budget requirements within an Agile framework.
- Stakeholder Synergy: Communicate technical complexities clearly to both modeling teams (technical) and business stakeholders (non-technical).
