Multiple Launchpads on a single USB port

I'd like to use three Launchpads simultaneously on a single USB port, with an external USB hub. 

Is this straightfoward to do?

Any links to how to do it would be appreciated.

The LaunchPad is known to be very flaky when used through a USB hub.
Make sure you can get one working reliably through the hub first!

I often use multiple LaunchPads simultaneously on my under OSX. The
(completely unofficial) OSX driver nicely generates multiple virtual
serial ports, and mspdebug can happily program a specific Launchpad on
your system. I'm not sure how well this works (or works at all) with
CCS under Windows.
