How did you use Hub/Rover/Python for CSEdWeek activities?

Curious to see how you used the TI-Innovator Hub/TI-Rover/Python during this CS Ed Week?

 

And tbh, *every* week is engineering and coding week, so if your schedule didn’t allow you to do some interesting activities this week, there’s always the rest of the year. :)

I had my students explore the hub-we are deep into FTC season so there wasn’t much chance for getting too deep into it. 10 Minutes of code was a hit.

One of the activities we did on a programming day was morse code.
Students attached a grove button (see below) to the IN1-port of the Hub and defined it as a digital input.
With the program below you can send morse code using the internal speaker and the built-in color led of the Hub.
To get more sound and light the students then connected an external speaker and a RGB-Array.

The second part of the activity was writing a program that let you input tekst which is then send as morse code

How about using a microphone to make a receiver, too? micro:bit?

I tried that, but the microbit is not fast enough
