What I want to know, stat folks, is: who came up with these curves?

Doesn’t matter what the data represents, eh.

John,
Do you have the original source? After a little digging to find out what the acronyms stand for, I found that they represent the political parties in the UK. You may have already known that.....  It represents the year 2019. I found a version spanning the entire year, on a website showing data visualization using R:
https://github.com/prakhargurawa/Data-Visualisation-Using-R?tab=readme-ov-file
I wonder if the data point represent poll data and they simply calculated means of all polls and then graphed the means??  Couldn't find an original data file......... but I also didn't try too hard :-)

No source. Spotted on social media.

Just curious about the method for creating the curves from the data.

I have a ‘polynomial regression’ file/program that would do the trick.
