Have you tried to install the driver manually?

It's located at program files/texas instrument/driver.

I tried to install my ez430 using the chronos-setup.exe as provided in the wiki. When I plug-in the MSP430 on my Windows 7 machine the installation failed.
In the device manager it is listed with the error "code 28".

I tried to re-install, rebooting and installation on a second Windows 7 machine without success.
Any ideas?
