Hello, i ported poelzi open firmware to google code http://code.google.com/p/openchronos/.
New features is sending time in morse code if you switch from time to
the seconds. This feature is for ham radio ops. I planning implement a
Altitude accumulator like http://blog.frankvh.com/2010/11/11/ti-chronos-watch-custom-firmware/
as a new module in firmware. I'm compiling source with msp430-gcc
under linux. Here is good tutorial how to compile source in
windows:http://rubenlaguna.com/wp/2011/02/11/compiling-openchronos-in-
windows/

If anyone wold like to participate on this project please drop me
email...

Regads, Ondra

Hello,

why starting a new port if you can just do a branch in git and apply
patches from the original openchronos ?

Cheers,
Martin

Sorry for answering so late.

Thats what i thought, too. SVN is only slightly better then CVS and
therefore still bad. Centralized development is a dead end and merging
in SVN is hell. Services like github are largely superior to google code
because it allows easy tracking of changes in other branches and merging
stuff back to the main trunk. There is nothing code.google.com provides
that can't be done in a more open way.

Sorry to say that, but I don't like the idea of your fork. If you really
want to fork openchronos to this kind of project, please use a different
name for your project.

If you just want to contribute which I really appreciate, please fork
the git main repo and do a pull request for review.

kind regards
Daniel

fyi, seems this was not done yet ... so I took liberty to fork and send
a pull request
