Hi.
I really don't know what's going on here.
I have webmail 1.3.1 with hotmail 1.2.14 installed on my desktop,
using Thunderbird 2.0.0.12. All hotmail accounts work fine.
Today, I install the same versions on my laptop.
The webmail plugin appears to be working correctly - I have green
lights for the POP and SMTP services
The hotmail plugin is listing all the domains correctly. My hotmail
account is the new Live version which has been set in the hotmail
extension options.

When I go to pick up the mail - click on the account in Thunderbird
and then Get Mail, I see the "Connected to localhost..." in the task
bar at the bottom, but nothing more ever happens. I never actually get
any mail.

I then enabled the logging to see what's really going on. Both the
laptop and desktop are set up identically as far as I can see. The
only difference in the logs appears to be the presence of a "Hotmail
Log - <time> - <date>.txt" file on the desktop (working fine) but no
log of this filename on the laptop.

Both machines have similar "HotmailPrefs<date>.txt" files, etc.

I've tried uninstalling all plugins and even thunderbird and starting
again, but get exactly the same result.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Just out of interest have you checked the box in the Hotmail extension
"download unread emails only"? If you have you will only get them
downloaded to one of your systems and not to the other.

Yes, I did try that option. Even sent myself a new mail, tried to pick
it up on the laptop, nothing, go to the desktop, and in it comes.
Still no idea what's going on :S

I am having the same problem.
I believe I have setup everything correct, but when I try to retrieve
my mails, nothing happens.
It says connected to localhost, but it never asks for my password !!
(like it should do the first time right?)

Does anybody have an idea what is going wrong? I have an @live.com
email.
