Hi,

On Ubuntu Linux 10.04 (LTS) 32-bit , the Google Mail add-on 0.7.1 is
still automatically uninstalled on Thunderbird 6.0 startup. The error
log still says:

Warning: WARN addons.xpi: Add-on is invalid: Error: Directory
/home/martsv/.thunderbird/9aueaeuj.default/extensions/{860a7040-44a3-11da-8cd6-0800200c9a66}

I make it a third time here.

Peter,
Just curious what version of Windows are you running? I haven't any problem here on Win2000pro but am having problem with both TB and Seamonkey on Linux 10.04LTS here. I though try the Seamonkey 2.3.1 program to see if it was just occurring in TB but it is not. It is both of them on my Linux system with the same problem. I beginning to think was a mistake to upgrade to TB5+.

Martin and Peter,

I have a temporary solution to the problem of the disappearing Gmail add-on in Linux Lucid Lynx TB6. You will need change the permission on the Gmail extension folder to Access only. For some reason it is being deleted on every other start-up.

Peter you can see if you can limit to the windows to access only this file folder and temp may work for you too. This should be under advance security setting for this file folder.

Now someone got to find out why TB is deleting this folder. I will make another post in the TB forum and see if I can get a solution for this.
