Actually that particular problem with the "splash screen" has been a
issue twice now since hmm October I think. I was just mentioning it as
some may not realize how easy of it a fix it can be. I see your
suggestion and I don't see a problem in adding that as a option.
However users will still need to set that option (unless it could be
made that by default). Also I just tried logging into the MSNBC website
then going to the mail from there. While it did work I would still get
the same splash screen I found before that I need to check the "don't
see this again" check box. I just don't see it helping, if I am wrong
and the webmail author thinks so by all means use the best method. He
knows far better than I. :) But something to consider if it does indeed
work as described (and it was just a fluke why it didn't work for me) I
have this feeling it is just something hotmail missed and will fix that
in time.
I do have one suggestion though, why not add to the "neagative vibes"
error message a comment about trying to log into your webmail account
normally and see if there is a splash screen you can click a "do not see
this again" check box and try webmail again? I get the feeling that
hotmail is going to be doing this splash screen more often.
