I'm trying to access my Yahoo email inbox from Thunderbird using the
Webmail extension, but whenever I try getting my mail, it gives me an
error, "Cannot connect to server localhost, the connection was
refused". Both the Webmail and Yahoo extensions are running, and the
POP server is set at port 1025. Does anyone know what the problem
might be?

Thanks.

Why is the POP server set to port 1025?

Unless you are using the MacOS or Linux you should leave the default
ports of the extension alone.

Your probolem is caused by not having the ports used in the account in
Thunderbird match the ports in the Webmail extension. If you go with
the defaults they will match and you will not get this error.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. I am using Linux, and so the
default port didn't work.

Then you must make sure that in the Thunderbird "Server Settings" for
the account you have changed the default POP port from 110 to match
the new port number you have chosen for POP and entered in the POP
server in the main Webmail extension.

Hello! I got a similar error on Linux. When a try to access yahoo mail
and hotmail I get the following error: Failed to connect to server
localhost. The port for the pop server and the server ports on
account settings for hotmail and yahoo do match. As I recall, I began
receiving this error because one day, when the program prompt me my
password I selected cancel. From the on I got the errors. I tried the
uninstall of th hotmail extension and reinstalling it but did not
work. The problem continues. Maybe I should reinstall the whole
extension again. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I changed the port for the POP server in the Account settings to
match the Webmail settings, and I can download my emails now. But
when I try to reply to an email, it says that it couldn't connect to
the SMPT server (I'm pretty sure that's what it says, I'll let you
know exactly what it says next time I'm in Linux), and when I go to my
inbox on the Yahoo website, it's empty. Any idea why?

Thanks.

You have firebird set to delete your mail from the server and that is
why your web based mail is showing up blank, i had he same thing
happen to me at first, you can change that setting in "account
settings", check the leave messages on server box, and then either how
long you want it to leave em or until you delete them.
