What's the status of the servers (see webmail's options panel)

I have been working on this on for roughly three weeks. I have Tbird
2.0.0.22, running on Win XP SP3, the extensions are webmail 1.3.3 3b3,
yahoo 1.4.4.

The errors in error console vary, but mostly error 500. When I open
T'bird, I always receive the error for both of my Yahoo accounts. But
if I manually poll each of them the connection succeeds. I have
changed my Yahoo mail settings through all of the different views and
I have rotated the
yahoo webmail add-on through all of the different settings as well.
Currently set the extension to beta plus yahoo webmail is in the new
mail format

The servers under webmail are all in good shape, green lights for all.

If I log into the accounts through the browser, I see that the
previously downloaded mail is still in the inbox, unread. I thought
these were supposed to be deleted once they were downloaded.

I am also having problems with Yahoo mail. However I also get a error
when I try to log into yahoo mail via the website. This is the "new"
version, the classic still works. However classic does not work in
webmail for me (hasn't for some time).

After contacting Yahoo, they say there is a indeed a problem and they
are working on it.

Only the "New" version currently works with the extension, if Yahoo has
a problem with this, then the extension cannot work.

Using 1.4.4 of the add-on, I have only been able to get the "BETA"
version to work at all, which is intermittent. Some days it works
fine, others it doesn't work at all, and still others it won't work on
auto send, but will work if I manually force it. This has nothing to
do with my high speed internet connection. Already have checked that.

You have to have the "Mode" in the extension set to "Beta" and the Yahoo
web site set to "New". This is the only combination that currently
works. There are reports of some people intermittently having the
webmail extension fail to log on and retrieve mail. Apparently this is
due to Yahoo randomly changing part of the website code. The extensions
author is working on a solution to this, meanwhile you just have to keep
retrying until the log on succeeds.
