It has always been relatively easy to create a midi file on a Yamaha arranger keyboard. When the PSR Tutorial started up in the early 2000s, sharing music via midi files was the easiest way to go and we had lots of performers who wanted to share their music and they did so by contributing their songs via midi files. I started a section called "PSR Performers" and created a page for anyone who was willing to share their music, and could start off with at least 10 songs. Those songs appeared on the performer's page and, in fact, are still available on many current and archived performer pages. In fact, the Songs>Midi Files section lists over 5,700 songs. They are arranged alphabetically with pages for songs starting with a particular letter. For example, clicking on the "B" link opens a page with all the song midi files that start with the letter B. You see the artist who created the song and the tempo and style used for that song. Any song can be directly downloaded to your computer.
All of these midi files and some additional ones are included in our MIDI Library (see the tab at the top of this page). You can order this midi collection as a downloadable resource. You receive an email with several links to large compressed files. You download the compessed (zip format) files. Unzip them. Copy the uncompressed folders and files to your USB drive. Take the USB to your keyboard and you have all those songs ready to play.
During the first 10 years, new songs added were mostly MIDI files. After reaching a peak in 2006, the number of new midi files declined yearly and virtually stopped by 2013. At the same time, new MP3 files were rare until jumping in 2008 and 2009 and reaching a peak in 2010. New MP3s have remained about 700 a year since. This trend is illustrated clearly in the chart below.
Not all MIDI files are the best in terms of playability and quality. Making sure that you choose the highest-quality MIDI files is very important. These files and backing tracks of new songs, custom beats, and pieces of various instruments help you in many music-related activities.
Mutopia is another recently launched great website for piano MIDI files of different genres, including pop, jazz, romantic, and many more. The songs are completely free to download. The downloading process is quite easy, and the file quality is very high too.
ThePandaTooth is one of the best MIDI databases of the last couple of years. With MIDI track options ranging from video games to movie songs and even popular artist music files, ThePandaTooth has everything you'll feed. One of the best features of this website is that it is super-easy to use, and a great add-on is that all the MIDI files are free.
A website that looks and feels as good as Musescore but offers free downloads is Flat. It is a great website with professional high-quality MIDI files and songs that can be downloaded in MIDI format according to your liking.
Aptly named, Sheethost is an incredible piano sheet and MIDI file database that has been recently created, and it seems to work amazingly well. The interface and the usability, features, and overall backing track downloadability of the website are amazing. All you need to do is sign up before you download free MIDI files of various genre songs.
Welcome to midiforworship.com - your online resource for Christian worship music So what's so different about this site from all the other midi sites out there? When we started using midi music in our worship a few years ago we found there was a real lack of suitable files available. There was certainly plenty of choice but we didn't want anything with lots of percussion and it needed to have the right number of verses as well as a suitable intro. Since we couldn't find what we were looking for, we decided to create our own arrangements. The files on this site are the result.

I am doing my best to create a final product that is"Hymnal-quality", and could feasibly be used as the basisfor a printed church hymnal. This music is to be distributed ascomplete scores (words and music), using all accompaniment parts, informats that are easily accessible on most computer OS's and whichcan be freely modified by anyone.

ABOUT REFLECTION DETAILS OF REFLECTION RECORDS Proven guitar and keyboard-based contemporary music for Christian worship in sheet music and MIDI format(either
unpublished or not widely known), made available as efficiently, effectively and freely as possible - thats the main
purpose of this site. But if your church has a Christian Copyright Licensing International licence for reproducing lyrics
and/or music for worship use (and legally and morally, if it does either, it should have!) do please report any use.Theres a wide variety of music here, in very varying styles. Most of it is for worship and is listed below (and,at last, thematically, on the new Song Themes page. There is a separate page, Contemporary Christian Music, for Christian songs that wouldnt fit easily into worship. The relevant songs are listed on that page. The sheet music is in gif format, and together with the MIDI files of varying complexity, can be downloaded in zipped files from each page. You will also find an increasing number of MP3s from past Reflection albums, live presentations and my own computer recordings. If you have an older computer and find that individual pages load too slowly, there is a separate download page without embedded sound) where you will find each of the zipped files separately as well as two early master files - one of much of the music and MIDIs and the other with just the MIDIs. Unfortunately, its far from up to date with the latest files, but that will be put right within days. The early MIDI files here were written against the background of a wide variety of soundcards, from the very cheap with only false-sounding FM synthesis to the higher end using wavetable synthesis. Whilst much has changed, itsstill true that no two soundcards will produce quite the same result in terms of instrumental sound and balance. In the fortnight up to today (16 September 2008) all the MIDI files have been remixed and rebalanced. In many cases they have also been significantly revoiced to give a better and consistent listening experience. It has been a time-consuming and tiring process, but rewarding! I've just completed uploading the files, and if you find anything that I have overlooked or just got wrong, do please let me know.If the files generally sound poor on your system (missing notes, poor balance etc) please read MIDI explanations and advice, and feel free to make adjustments for your own use with whatever music software you have available. If you want to be notified when this site is updated, ChangeDetect (a replacement for URL-minder that I used to use) was a superb, free and secure service which sent you an e-mail whenever the Whats New? page changed. Simply enter your e-mail address below. It is guaranteed not to be made available to anyone else - even me - and I confidently use it myself!Unfortunately, but inevitably, like most things it gets more commercial, and tries to push you up the ladder into paid services. But there is still currently a more limited free option after the initial trial period. Monitor the Whats New Page
Fill My Life With Praise - This well-done site by Clyde McLennan has original arrangements of some standards, as well as arrangements done of scripture passages, all done in a jazz style. Clyde has MIDI files available either singly or all of the files in a .zip format. To get the .zip file of all the songs, scroll down the home page until you see the MIDI connector icon, with the text "Midi/All Midi files" and click it to download the entire MIDI collection. Or, you can continue down the home page to the song titles, where you'll find links to individual song pages. These pages have the lyrics (which are included in the MIDI files) printed, as well as the individual MIDI file for download.
Music Resources for Smaller Churches - Another very useful site by Clyde McLennan, designed for "[b]acking files for congregational and small group singing. All files can be downloaded freely for Church use." The songs on this page are listed alphabetically, with the various file types listed in the right-hand columns. The MIDI sequences for these files are designed to provide both the printed sheet music for choral or other performance use (Notation Musician or Composer work extremely well for this), as well as for recording for performance "backing tracks." Simply click on the button for the song that is located in the "Midi" column ("Karaoke" row) and choose "Save..." to download the file.
