Temple exclusively uses the Common Application for all transfer student submissions. Be sure to indicate in your application if you are a Dual Admissions student. Dual Admissions is our partnership with local, two-year community colleges through which you can enroll at Temple.

This is the basis of our admissions decision, as it is most telling of the work you will demonstrate as a Temple student. The average GPA for incoming fall 2023 transfer students was 3.19. All previous college coursework is considered even if you attended more than one college or university.
Although not required for transfer students, we accept letters of recommendation. Your letters should be submitted by individuals who can speak to your academic abilities and personal accomplishments, such as an advisor or professor.
The Transfer Equivalency Tool helps current and prospective students determine how their college-level academic credits may transfer to Temple. Use these tables to find the current listing of available Temple equivalents to classes at various two-year and four-year institutions, as well as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, CLEP and A-Level exams.
New transfer students who have completed a minimum of 15 college-level credits after high school graduation, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher are considered for academic scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $8,000. No separate application is required.

On September 1, 2021, Texas passed S.B. 8, which prohibited anyone from getting an abortion after a detectable fetal tone. The law also allows citizens to sue people who obtained, performed, or helped to perform an abortion. TST filed a lawsuit against Texas, stating that this law prohibits TST members from performing a religious ritual to remove nonviable fetal tissue up to 24 weeks of pregnancy.

TST stands alone because we are the only entity that can assert a religious liberty claim that terminating a pregnancy is a central part of a religious ritual that encourages self-empowerment and affirms bodily autonomy.
