One must have Refuge Vows to participate.
Following is the schedule for the retreat:
FRIDAY, December 16:
7:30 - 8:00pm - Refuge vows
Geshe Phuntsok Gyaltsen will give new students refuge vows.
Older students are welcome to renew their vows.
8:00 - 9:00pm - Introduction to a Nyung Ne Retreat
This is for new students who would like to participate in the Nyung Ne
Retreat at GSTDL
on the following Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The short introduction
will give information
on what to expect during a Nyung Ne Retreat.
Please note that one may take Refuge Vows without attending Nyung Ne.
SATURDAY, December 17: 5:00am - 5:00pm
First day of Nyung Ne – Vows must be taken before sunrise. Please be
on time.
Doors will open at 4:45am. There will be a break before noon so one
can have a meal.
SUNDAY, December 18: 5:00am - 5:00pm
Second day of Nyung Ne – Vows need to be taken before sun rise. Please
be on time.
Doors will open at 4:45pm. Fasting and silence is observed this day.
MONDAY, December 19: 5:00am - 8:30am)
Vows are not taken this day. There will be a short session of the
Nyung Ne practice
breaking the fast with a light breakfast served in the residence.
