Key learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship | About the company: Dow Jones Indexes is an independent index provider that develops, maintains and licenses market indices for investment products. Among its more than 3'000 indices are some of the world's best known stoCk indicators: the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the leading pan-European indices, the Dow Jones STOXX indices. The indices underlie a variety of financial products in today's marketplace including: exchange-traded funds, futures, options and structured products. The team: The Dow Jones STOXX Index Team - Europe is responsible for the index reviews, deciding which companies will be added or deleted from an index, design, development and delivery of the Dow Jones STOXX indices such as the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 and the Dow Jones STOXX 600 indices. The team of researchers is responsible for tracking corporate actions and M&A activities in the European markets or research new markets, countries and companies and be up-to-date with latest market developments. Tasks: The tasks involve researching companies and markets using internet related applications. During the stay the intern will achieve knowledge how index calculation is done, how to use financial tools like Bloomberg I Reuters for research and data queries. Research and collect information in MS Excel. Involvement in team work with team members for the quarterly index reviews and project work like creating new indexes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop financial market experience! | ||
