My name is Jerry Bezencon, and I am the lead developer for Linux Lite, a free linux based operating system.
Linux Lite has been active for nearly 3 years and has just began the process of offering mirrors for it's users.
Although relatively new in the linux world, we already hover
around the top 25 in the DistroWatch.com top 100. Linux Lite is
promoted as a 'transitional operating system' for people who are
curious about linux based operating systems, but who don't want a
steep initial learning curve. We're passionate about introducing
people to linux.
Linux Lite was founded in New Zealand, but has contributors from
around the world. The master mirror is currently hosted in the USA
on a dedicated server with 10TB of bandwidth monthly. To date we
have 6 mirrors and hope to have a location handy to users in a
variety of geographic locations around the world by the end of the
year. Having a mirror in China hosted by the Tsinghua University
would benefit our Chinese user base.
