Hi,

When reloading Naemon, Thruk loses connectivity for a while to Naemon(livestatus) which results in Thruk not working for maybe 10sec. Today using xinet.d to get TCP support for livestatus. Would native TCP support in livestatus improve this in any way or is it just the nature of TCP? That connection need to be re-established and that takes some time to realize and do? Any way to improve this?

Regards, Bjorn

Hi,

using native tcp listener would not make a difference. The reason is livestatus module must be unloaded during the reload and will be loaded again. Therefor for a short period of time, there is no livestatus module loaded at all. If this is really a critical issue, you might want to use LMD as caching layer.

Cheers,
 Sven
