I recently bought 2 Oculus Quest 2. I have them both set up with their own (and different) admin accounts. I have one of the devices with sharing turned on (the other does not have sharing turned on). I'm now trying to add an account on one of the devices so I can share the apps I purchased on the other device. However, when I try and login to Facebook, it says "Your account is temporarily unavailable. Regain access by updating the app or logging in from a mobile or web browser." I go through the process of verifying my account (have done this on a web browser as well as my mobile), go back to the Oculus headset and try to login again and it just keeps giving me the same message. I've even powered off and back on again and reset back to factory settings on the device that's having the issue and I'm still getting the Facebook login issue.

You would think they would have noticed the already. I've spent 2 hours in an endless loop trying everything I could to add myself as a second user / account and was trapped in the Facebook bubble window, unable to login using my Facebook account. There was no updating that could have been done or logging in through a browser or the app never suggested or fixed anything.

We know it can be concerning when awesome features such as having multiple accounts on one Quest 2 don't seem to be functioning correctly. We're pleased to provide more information regarding multiple accounts, and we would also like to advise you to make sure your Oculus companion app is updated to the latest version. You can uninstall and then reinstall your mobile app to make sure the latest version is downloaded!

So a few days ago I went on my phone and logged into my facebook account, this being the first time that I ever logged into FB with my phone. Evidently, when you logg into FB with a new device, it will temorarily disable your account. I thought nothing of it because I almost never logg into facebook anyway and it couldn't be too hard to get it back (which it wasn't) but when I got home I realized that my spotify was logged out, and when I tried logging back into it, it said that my account was temporarily unavailable and that I needed to log into FB to regain access. The problem is that I never linked my FB account to Spotify, but I went over to FB, got my account re-enabled and went to app settings, surely enough it isn't there. After a bit of looking around on FB, I went to the Spotify website and tried logging in, which ofcourse didn't work, I then tried the logg in with FB button, that said that I didn't have a Spotify account linked to FB, something I already knew. Then I tried to request a password reset token, but if i try that it says that I'm using FB and I need to use those credentials to log in. So basically Spotify is saying that FB is linked to spotify, but FB is saying there is no Spotify account linked to it. And I can't simply request a password reset, because Spotify thinks it's linked to FB. Can anyone help me? I've already sent an email to Spotify, but I haven't gotten anything back yet and I sent that a few days ago.

I got my Facebook account temporarily locked becasue I tried loggin in with my phone for the first time, and it also locked my spotify for some reason. I never linked my spotify with facebook, but spotify thinks i did. I can't get a password reset token becasue spotify thinks its linked with FB. FB has no spotify thing in the app settings. Basically, spotify thjinks it's linked with FB, but FB doesn't have an account linked with it.

Alright, so I think I've figured it out, I used a different email to signup to spotify with then my FB. When I created my spotify account it automatically created a new Facebook i guess (not really sure who thought that was a good idea...) so it linked with that FB account. Now my problem is that I either didn't put in a birthdate for that FB account or I put it in incorrectly, so I can't get that account re-enabled, because I didn't put in a security question, and the only way to re-enable that account is to put in my birthdate, which as I said before I either didn't enter or I entered it wrong. SO, if there is anyway I could talk with someone to get that spotify unlinked with that facebook account or something, because I had a few playlists on there that I would not like to remake, most of them being private, so I can't look at them unless logged into that account. If anyone could hlep me I would be very grateful.

And if any of the owners of spotify read this (which they prbably won't) you need to take that off, not everyone uses Facebook, I don't really, although I do have an account, I don't use it anymore, also my FB email is different than my main email that i use, so it made a new facebook and i didn't realize, bad design choice....

If you are logged into Facebook while viewing the sign up page, you get a fake sign-up form that will only tell you to log in to Facebook if you click the blue register button. Watch out for that, the fake page says "we prefilled this form using facebook info" while the spotify account sign up form doesn't do that.

As far as I am aware the Spotify system never creates new Facebook accounts, this would not be possible as you need to be on the Facebook website to enter all your details and read the T&C's of usage.

I have seen several other posts on the community saying that it takes a few days for Spotify to start working again after your Facebook account has been re-enabled after being disabled, so it might be worth waiting a few days first. I am also not sure why your account got temporarily disabled unless you where attempting to log in too many times with the wrong password or making the system think someone else was trying to access your account. If you have 2 step verification enabled on your Facebook, where the system sends you a SMS message when you log in from a new device, you might want to disable it to see if that makes a difference.

Alright, so it looks like I'm not getting that account back, is there any way to get my playlists from that account onto a new one (not this one)? I think i had 2 private playlists and 1 public playlist. Is there any way a mod or someone can get those transferred over to a new account for me, or am I going to have to remake them all?

Facebook is the biggest social media platform in the world. Even with some bad press and occasional technical hiccups, they remain on top. Over the years, Facebook has upgraded its approach to security issues to protect its users.

Another potential cause for finding out that your Facebook is temporarily unavailable might be the cookies and cache on your browser. Sometimes, not clearing these files and data will cause glitches with certain websites such as Facebook.

However, getting locked out of the account can also come from posting untrue information or offensive content in photos and memes. Finally, if someone reports suspicious behavior on the platform, Facebook might lock them out until they investigate the issue.

Also, if you want to increase the chance of never losing access to Facebook, make sure that your full name is listed, as well as your date of birth. Furthermore, including a phone number and choosing a friend to be your trusted contact can go a long way.

I am having the same problem.. When I try to login using my IG app it says my account has been disabled, but I can still login through any other mobile device and my desktop. Did you ever find a solution for this?? HELP!

This is what worked for me! I logged into the app from another device. Then, i linked it to my facebook account from the settings section in the Instagram app. Then, I went back to the phone that i had trouble logging in with and instead of using the username to log in I opted to sign in with Facebook and Bam...I was logged in again. Hope this works for you.

Earlier today, I deleted the Instagram app to clear up some space. When I reinstalled it, I couldn't log back into my account. All I got was the message "sorry, there was a problem with your request." I did sent myself an email to log back in. I was able to log in through my browser, but when I tried to open it in the app, I got the same message. I'm able to enter my account through my tablet's app, so clearly my account isn't blocked, but my phone is blocked. I tried creating a new account with a new email; it said signup blocked. I tried linking it to a Facebook account and logging in through that; didn't work. I deleted and redownloaded the app; also didn't help. I tried a different apple ID, that didn't work either. I finally emailed Instagram asking for help, and I got a reply saying: "Please reply to this email and attach a photo of yourself holding a hand-written copy of the code below, etc..." I did all that and I'm waiting for a reply.
