AyatAl kursi is called the "Verse of the throne" as the throne of Allah has been mentioned in it. It's the 255th Ayah (verse) of Surat Al-Baqarah, and it includes 17 of God's names and describes Allah's most important characteristics. It says: "Allah! There is no god but Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who could intercede in His presence without His permission? He knows what is in front of them and what is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what he gives them. His throne includes the heavens and the earth, and he is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous. 255" Surah Al-Baqarah.

Reciting Ayatul Kursi every morning and evening protects you from the devilish ideas. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entrusted me to protect the charity of Ramadan. Someone came to me and began taking from the food. I took hold of him and I said, "I will certainly take you to the Messenger of Allah!" Abu Huraira told the story to the Prophet and he said, "The man told me that when I go to bed, I should recite the verse of the throne. Allah would appoint a protector with me and no devil would come near to me until morning." The Prophet said, "He told you the truth, although he is a liar. That was Satan." Sahih Al Bukhari.

Reciting Ayat al-Kursi after each prayer gets you to enter the heaven of Allah. Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever recites the 'verse of the Throne' (ayat al-kursi) after every prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entry into Paradise but death." After you finish memorizing three parts try to recite them from your memory. If you succeeded continue to the fourth part and memorize it then recite all that you have memorized on your own. Keep doing this until you memorize the whole ayatul kursi.
