Elyse is back with her Tween Tuesday and has decided to share with you the 10 things you should not do for your Tween on Valentine's Day.  I don't know where she came up with these things as I would  never do any thing so embarrassing to my Tween...or would I?

Ten things NEVER to do for your Tween
on Valentine’s Day
  1. Don’t send us presents in our class room especially things like Giant Bears and balloons
  2. Don’t drive us to school and scream out the window “I love you baby, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!” (On Valentine’s or any day)
  3. Don’t surprise us at school for lunch (On Valentine’s or any day)
  4. (only for mom’s) Don’t give us a big kiss on the head which might leave lip stick (On Valentine’s or any day)
  5. Don’t overdue the present, make it small and simple, but fun!  That is because we will feel guilty (See # 6)
  6. Don’t expect us to go all lovey dovey on you.  If we give you a card and a smile, be happy.
  7. Don’t wear a Valentine’s T-shirt that you think is cute…trust me, it’s not.
  8. Don’t give us a ton of chocolate first thing in the morning and expect us not to eat it for breakfast.
  9. Don’t get all smoochey with the other parent, we have just learned the details about the birds and the bees, thinking about the fact that you two do it is just icky.
  10. Don’t annoy us by constantly asking who we hope to get a Valentine’s from….we are not going to tell you anyway so  save us both the trouble…just rest assured we are not hoping to get a giant bear and balloons sent to our classroom from you.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I am simply blown away that she words this stuff herself!   This is college level wording, to say the least!!  I think she can give you a run for your money any day blogging! Winking smile  She will never have any trouble passing a writing test at school.

Wow. Hard not to feel the love from your oldest and most cynical daughter. Is it b/c she's a tween or is it b/c she's your kid?

weren't you the person who yelled out of the car to jack. . . however, your tween is becoming a teen before any of us are ready to handle it.

I am that person, I believe that is where Ms. Thing got the idea.
