In an effort to not stress about blogging and just have fun with it, I did not want to spend money on a blog designer or PR person. But I did want to change the look of my blog and update my tagline. This left me to my own devices which is not always such a good thing. I spent a great deal of time last night trying to figure out how to update my blog design using Blogger features.
Here is what I learned from the experience:
- I know nothing about blog design or writing a tagline.
- Blogger Template/Design is not user friendly.
- There are a lot of really, really busy background designs and hard to read fonts out there.
- You can make a whole bunch of changes and if you don't click update none of them are saved.
- After looking through 50+ templates, it is hard to remember which one you like.
- Repeatedly clicking through templates to find the one you originally liked, so you can save it this time, is incredibly frustrating.
- Spouses should not offer help unless solicited.
- Writing a tagline is much harder than one would think.
- Many things seem awesome at midnight and appear much less so the next day.
- I am not nearly as clever as I thought I was yesterday morning.
Now I a day later, I am sleep deprived and slightly wiser and my blog has a new look and a new tagline. What do you think?
