First off, I want to start off by letting you guys know that threetags
has a great premise and I'm not just saying this to be nice. I
believe you guys are tackling the biggest aspects of cloud computing;
security, organizing, offline access, backing-up, simplicity, user-
friendliness. In my opinion, your site could be the start of
something really big. I have literally gone threw hundreds if not
thousands (actually) of cloud computer apps, a this is one of about a
half a dozen that stand out. That being said, the site is relatively
young and clearly in development and so only time will tell where it
ends up.

Here are a few questions I have.
1) a main issue I have is that I have yet to come across a bookmarking
toolbar button(s) or bookmarklet. For me, this is essential as a
function for bookmarking.

2) As well, I have yet to find a function to import/export my
bookmarks from either other sites or browsers. Correct me if I'm
wrong, buy the import/export function that exists is mainly for
backing-up and such?

3)Lastly, I tried to call the contact number but was unable to get
through. Is it no longer active?

All the best,
H

Hi Harold,

Thank you for your feedback!

We are aware of the issues that you mentioned (bookmarklets and third-
party import/export), and we plan to address them some time in the
future. No specific timelines yet, though - as you shrewdly noticed,
our approach can be generalized into something more than just
bookmarks, so we are working on these adjacent areas. Stay tuned ;)

The contact number posted on the site goes directly to voicemail -
leave us a message, and we will call you back, if needed.

Best regards,
ThreeTags Inc.

Thanks for the relatively quick response, it's that kind of service
that instills confidence from us, the users, in your service. I
actually noticed that most of the responses to posts in this group
were made quickly, which is really great. I understand there are no
timelines for the features I mentioned, yet but would it be possible
to even get a rough idea. Should I be thinking in the range of by the
end of the year, maybe within the next couple of years, or is it
perhaps something less that like within the next few months. The
reason i ask is that I am starting with a similar program that has
some of these features I need; however, I believe threetags to be my
preference all things being equal. Thus, I am not sure how
comfortable I want to get with the other program given my possibility
of switching over to threetags. Not trying to pressure you guys and
if you actually have no clue, I fully understand. Also, I was
wondering if you guys were planning to make threetags a publicly
trader entity and/or if you guys were looking for investers?

Thanks,
H

Hi Harold,

The features you mentioned are not difficult to implement, they are
just not at the top of our priority list. For example, we consider
full-text search (FTS) to be more important/useful, and even FTS is
"pending" ;). As priorities often change in young and/or dynamic
companies, and our company is definitely young and dynamic, it would
be disingenuous of us to promise any specific feature availability
date. There is a chance that a toolbar/bookmarklet and/or third-party
integration (import/export) will be available in 2009 or early 2010 -
that's all we can tell you right now.

Re: investment/partnership opportunities: please contact us in private
using one of the means provided here: http://www.threetags.com/about

FTS is definitely important, no doubt about it. I'll give you an
email from my work email to the email you listed.
