Just a heads up that the archinstall script will not complete installation correctly if the missing package is ignored. Selecting another profile option then installing plasma group afterwards is probably the best way to get around this.

So then installing archlinux-keyring failed to upgrade, which left me scratching my head again, always something dumb with the keyring on arch! After some furious searching I found the link below to manually update the keyring, that then allowed me to install updated archinstall, that then allowed me to install kde cleanly now with plasma6.

I noodled with the four configuration files inside /etc/nixos/ directory. I made small and large changes, where I added, commented out, re-added different lines one at time and running the above commands after each change which has not yet resolved the error.

I am sharing my configurations files below with the hope that more experienced users might be able to identify the trivial mistake I am making. Based on the configuration files below, what might you people suggest I try next?

Since the article is so long now, for the convenience of readers, the content of this post has been moved to a separate site:Document Site: -and-flakes.thiscute.world/ GitHub Repo: -and-flakes-book...

nixos-rebuild switch by default looks for a nixosConfigurations key matching the current hostname (which is nixos). But you define nixosConfiguration.mySystem in your flake, not nixosConfiguration.nixos.

Either:

I've tried to migrate, I reinstalled the Rocky Linux VA 6 or 7 times without any error. I've tried with same IP and different IP methods. When I want to connect first time to Web Console with Administrator password I receive communication error. I've tried with Edge and Chrome from different computers and also with incognito mode. Searching the forum, I found that maybe it's something from Tomcat chiper config, but without success. Last time I installed Rocky Linux VA without pulling database from the other server, this is how logging in the web console works.

On all Windows Server 2016 Standard (I have few) in console appear Configuration module has malfunctions. I've tried clear cache on client side and few restarts, but the message from console still remain. On client side (Windows Server 2016 Standard with Eset Server Security) I don't have any error.

Have a few follow-up questions about this process that aren't covered in the article. I've created the new VM with the Rocky-based appliance, imported the database, done the intiial configuration with a new IP address and FQDN. Then had to detour to deal with the SHA1 certificate problem. On the Rocky appliance, I've created the new SHA2 CA as well as the Server and Agent certificates. That's as far as I've gone. As of right now, none of the preexisting clients have been migrated over (waiting for that fix tomorrow so I can update the agents properly). Also, no full disk encryption in use here.

Question 1: Am I better off moving the clients over to the new server first, then waiting until they have all talked to the new server and picked up the SHA2 CA and certs, then change the connection certificate to the SHA2 server cert on the Rocky appliance, OR should I change the server certificate on the Rocky appliance first, revoke and remove the old SHA1 certificates, set the new SHA2 certificate as the connection certificate under settings and then migrate the clients over to that server (in other words, will they pick up the certificates from the new server when they are migrated over to it or does the certificate on the new appliance need to match the certificate on the old one for the migration to work properly)?

Question 2: Under Peer Certificates, there are four certificates, all of which were created on the same day and time I set up the original appliance in here. Server, Agent, Proxy and "Agent cert for server assisted installation". As per the instructions, I've created SHA2 Server and Agent certs using the SHA2 CA. The documents that I saw did not mention the other two at all. Do I need to worry about the other two certificates?

Question 3: Should I be deleting the old certs and CA or leaving them as-is? I'd kind of like to remove them at some point so as to be sure that nothing is using the old CA anymore. If not deleting, do I need to be leaving the old SHA1 CA intact and in place so those certs will continue to work, thereby punting that issue down the road to a further point?

The iso image (2019-09-26-octopi-buster-lite-0.17.0.img) is not compressed, and the mg5 checksum of the original zip file checks out.
The microSD card had a previous version of Octopi on it, and so far I have tried deleting all partitions, creating a single ext4 partition, then tried changing that to a FAT32 partition, also tried it with no partition on the SD Card, each time I get the same error.

Hey there! Can you try running the application with sudo to discard a permission issue? Also, can you try running an older version of Etcher? Knowing which is the latest Etcher version that works for you would help us pin point what broke!

hello i have been trying to flash a debain armhf iso to a 16gb usb the file is about 800mb when i run the flash it says if it is a compressed image check if it is corrupted and that there was an error spawning the child process. i am trying to sent the crtl+shift+i consol log but it says it is too long

If I curl that URI it connects fine and I can see the TLS handshake and TLS v1.2 is used, it returns a status 200 message and a resource URI, similarly, if I browse to the URI using Firefox ESR I get a valid response with a resource URI with no certificate errors.

Internally what we found that _may_ explain the situation is that PA have a self-signed anchor issue on the SSL certificate chain. You can see this on a Qualys SSL scan of distributions.traps.paloaltonetworks.com

I can't prove it at this point, but the thinking internally is that either Mint or the app or a combination in some way follow the entire chain and fail validation because it sees the final certificate in the chain is self signed even though it is in the trusted root store.

After this fix, a SSL error most likely points to SSL decryption somewhere along the way. Either configure PAN FW to not decrypt Traps traffic, or add the CA for the decryption PAN FW to the OS certificate store:

Or, failing that, I'm wondering what command I can use to install an older version of nightly-aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu -- I can't seem to find a command for that, or a website where there is a list of the older builds.

I have the same problem. Beta Features activation helped some people Docker Desktop Fails to Start Daemon Issue #156 docker/desktop-linux GitHub But there is no control for this option in my Docker Desctop menu

What's the best course of action? Is it just a broken file? Or is there something wrong with the hard drive in the location of the file? Should I just delete it and copy one of the backed up versions into the file's location? Or is there something else/more that I should do?

indicates the impossibility of rsync to read or write a file. The most likely causes of this error are disk defects, either in the SRC or in the TGT directory. Other possibilities however include insufficient permissions, file lock by anti-virus programs, and maybe other causes.

The first step toward a diagnosis is to try to copy the files manually. This may work if, for instance, the source of the error was a disk defect in the TGT directory; by repeating the operation at a later time, you will write into a different section of the disk, and the problem may have evaporated.

I had a similar issue, I had a with fuse-mounted device via USB, which would frequently disconnect, causing IO errors. My backup could never finish because the IO errors would start mid-way into the rsync, and despite running rsync repeatedly, at some point the sync would not progress beyond updating existing files.

I have 2 external drives I keep in sync, using rsync. I perform this task regularly on either of two machines, and frequently switch from one to the other for the sake of convenience. I have 4 machines running Debian 9, and use these drives on each of them.

In the process to find out what happened, I remounted the drives twice, rebooted, ran rsync without --delete and basically my normal tries to fix something that has reliably worked for a long time. Even thought about installing rsync again. Before I would do that I decided to rsync the 2 drives on the other machine, which I run offline. rsync worked just the way it should.

Having read the material posted here, I installed clamav, updated the signatures, and scanned my home directory. I use this regularly on a different machine. I found 1 and only 1 PUA, and I deleted it. I always delete PUA's. I then remounted the two drives with this machine, and added different test files and folders to each drive.
