Limit resize area

Is there any way to limit the area when I'm executing the resize?
I saw this example https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/threedubmedia/v9Gy4b0fL0c and it didn't work.

dd.limit  is only working to the drag, but I need it to work to the resize too.
