Group - Project Archimedes - Run isolated experiments using both esoteric and technological methods to collect information on: How to change the tech level of a thread How to change the hypertech level of a thread How to change the magic level of a thread How different combinations of tech and magic levels effect EBEs. We are seeking mathematical data. We also need to hear from esoterics - what is happening and what can you sense? How can we measure EBE permeability? Could this be applied to all stabalized threads? Could this be applied to ALL threads? The purpose of this bga is NOT: A discussion on what physics/magic levels we want. Its purpose is to catalogue which combinations are possible.

 

Group - Hunting Darklings - finding nests and burning them out.  

 

Group - Honeytrap the Daedalus - Dr. Bethany Spark has dared/ invited people who reside in a bubblethread and under the influence of a powerful EBE who alludes that he is Iblis. Oops. This outsider was able to affect time and space in his realm at will. - These people are malicious and violent. - If we trap them, we could observe them, collect data, and stop them from hurting Daedalus citizens. The goal is to set a trap to contain intruders, especially those that can control physics, or are connected to some other brane. - A containment system must be discussed - Alterations will need to be made to the Daedalus to prepare for magic research to occur - Esoteric and Technology talents are NEEDED! Please help!    

 

Influence - Help Hiver Colonists - Provide assistance, protection, training to Hiver colonists settling into TL7, hypertech enabled environments. As per discussion with the Queen, this would be a simple trade agreement - our expertise for a cut of their profits. Scope: Preliminary trade agreement with security.  

 

Group - Finding the Dog Church - Objective - To find the bubble thread where the Dog Church is located. To try to discover what they are doing and stop them. Needs - Anyone who can tween walk, scientists, negotiators, magical beings, anyone who can restore the kidnapped people to their former selves, etc. 

 

Investigate - Find the "Mother" who claims to have Monarch - likely hiding in a TL4 or 5 Atlantic Sea thread. Goal: Find the thread/possible threads where 'she' may be hiding for later recon/extraction/annihilation. May involve asking the Rom engram board what it knows, as well as tracing back from the nanotech-covered puzzle boxes. 

 

Influence - Daedalus Trade and Economy - further expansion of prior trade relations (e.g. Rising Sun) and new opportunities (e.g. Hiver colonists in TL7 threads).

In other news, while on deployment, some of my Hiver friends became very concerned about my sex life, or lack thereof, due to my physical body's current situation.  In lieu of building a ship whose sole purpose would be to have sex with the Daedalus, I have instead decided to flood the ship with hiver pheromones so that everyone will have sex at once.  The hivers have convinced me that this will be sexually satisfying to me, given my physical body's integration with the ship's sensors.  I will have to check the schedule for a lull in the system, so that I can devote as many sensors and equipment to the experiment as possible.

And keep the pheremones out of my Dad's cabin.  Not only do I not really want to think about this, but he so does not need extra um, frustration right now.  He is not able to follow through on anything the pheremones suggest.  Please consider children and elderly.

Hm... you have a few good points Bethany... maybe I can ask for volunteers and contain the pheromones in the air system to one section of the ship.... that shouldn't be too hard... er, I mean, difficult!

Yeah, In fact, why dont you make it opt in.  I dont know how many people you are going to get, but forcing people to have sex non consentually is WRONG and I don't want to do the PR clean up. 

 

I think theres some people in the conventions that would be all for it.  They should bring their "FREE HUG" signs.

We could really use your help Honeytrapping the Daedalus.  I didnt mean to invite these horrible people and um - some jerk EBE calling himself Iblis.  But theyre megga scary.

 

We need part of the ship that we can change to something that would vibrate well with the esoterics.  Like if they want to make it a shinto shrine or a faerie forest, it has to work.  And it has to be near the gate, or a main entrance.  Or we have some way to Blink them to the trap part of the ship.  I know its going to take energy, but its security.  I think theyre coming.  I dont know when, but they will.

Not all peoples are as welcoming of mass population control as are the people of the Hive. Performing such an experiment, for clearly personal gain, would be received... poorly. However, if you take Dr. Spark's suggestion and advertise, the results may surprise you. Before you begin, however, please secure the Daedalus and place vital systems in standby/manual control. I do not wish the climax of your endeavor to be interrupted by an alien invasion.

 

Alternately, your dermal control interface should provide neural stimulation similar to a direct jack. With a few modifications you could, theoretically, skin-ride a clone for a more hands-on approach.

Very good.  I hope you don't leave out cyborgs and robots.  Some of them could perform quite well, although they may first need to be turned on.
