I love using soundpools! I usually purchase them directly from the soundpools dock within Music Maker, but today I purchased one from producerplanet.com. It was described as an "ACID Loop Collection." I downloaded and extracted the zip file, and manually moved it to C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Shop to be with all my soundpools, thinking it would appear the next time I launched Music Maker. It never showed up, so I used the "Add new Soundpools" tool from the Loops options gear, and tried selecting various levels within the file hierarchy. Then I "Rescanned Soundpools" from the Program Settings gear. My new collection is .wav files, so I changed my preferred soundpool format to .wav and went around again. It still doesn't show up. I updated my software, reset my program settings, but nothing has helped. Maybe the collection I purchased is just not compatible with Music Maker? I am using Music Maker version 30.0.4.44, and I am very sad.

@theflyingcelery You can try to make them show up in the Loops manager by creating a BPM.inf file (copy one BPM.inf from another Magix Soundpool and just change the tempo information inside it ), and placing the loops in subfolders named after instrument groups like it's done in Magix Soundpools.

That's pretty slick! My loops collection contains files at a variety of tempos, so I'll have to manually split them up, but that totally worked! Thanks! I've also tried dragging files directly from windows explorer, and haven't had any serious complaints with that method either. ?

The answer to this depends a lot on where your soundpools came from originally. They could have been obtained through a huge variety of systems and sources, e.g. bundled with older Music Maker or Music Studio version (disc or download), older Soundpool DVD Collections, Catooh downloads, downloadable soundpool installers from www.magix.com, etc. So, this would make a big difference, and there would be different ways to recover them, depending on the specific situation. If you did purchase them via the Music Maker in-app store system within a more recent Music Maker generation, you will simply be able to recover them via the in-app store system again. Just make sure you're signing into the in-app store system with your MAGIX customer account - using the very same account/e-mail you used to purchase the content in the first place.

If you're not getting on, please contact us at MAGIX support, and we'll have a closer look at your specific situation/account, and guide you through how to recover the content from each of the categories mentioned above in more detail.

hi yes the link works thanks, i am using a new laptop and i have checked :\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools\Shop and i only have the new soundpools i have brought but the rest are missing. i do see my email at the top and am signed in. i cant find where to update to2020

I received Soundpools with previous versions of MusicMaker, some came as downloads, some on CD's, and I bought some through Catooh. All of these are under user responsibility and there is no way to go back to Magix to get them, so backing them up is very important.

Came across this that was listed like it gave away Music Maker Premium, and it doesn't do that. But the code you get can be redeemed for 5 free Soundpools through the Music Maker program. Also to note, when I checked my Producer Planet account, the 5 it gave me was surprisingly the commercial royalty free license, even better. YMMV.

It's MAGIX's name for their construction kits, that is, sample packs (available in wav and ogg versions) where most loops are available in 6 or 7 keys (in some cases it's not just pitch shift, but a slightly different version of the loop in a different key, and changing from major to minor when appropriate). Soundpools also include additional info files (an ini and an xml) so that they can be integrated into MAGIX Music Maker's Songmaker AI composition tools (but you can just ignore these files if using with other DAWs)

The ones this gave me do say "Commercial (Royalty Free)" beside the download link. I just went to all the ones in their store page and selected the Commercial option, and it said that was already in my library.

Yes, for many years the vast majority of the deals included only the non-commercial license (unless you got a voucher for a certain amount of money and used it to buy commercial licenses). In the second half of 2023, they started offering deals that included the commercial license, finally! (but, make sure to check each specific deal)

By default my soundpool settings were set to .ogg. I now changed it to .wav to get better quality files but it didn't download the .wav files. Does anyone know how to force it to redownload the soundpools after the settings were changed?
