Beta drivers are under qualification testing, and may include significant issues. It is the end user's responsibility to protect system and data when using Beta drivers with NVIDIA products. It is strongly recommended that end users back up all the data prior to using Beta drivers from this site. Please ensure that newer Recommended/Certified drivers are not already posted on NVIDIA.com prior to installation and usage of Beta drivers. The Texas Department of Public Safety issues driver licenses that are valid for up to eight years to Texas residents. Driver license offices are located throughout the state and offer services by appointment only. Same day appointments may be available at select driver license offices. Check here to determine if you must visit a driver license office or if you meet the requirements to conduct your transaction online.

Did you know that most Texas driver licenses (DL) and identification cards (ID) can be renewed up to two years before and after the expiration date? Did you know that you can replace, or change your address or emergency contacts on your DL, CDL, ID or motorcycle license without going into a driver license office? You may also be able to renew your DL, CDL or ID online. You can also obtain your driver record, check your driving status and pay reinstatements. You may also conduct a DL or ID transaction by telephone or by mail.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issues identification card (ID) that are valid for up to six years to Texas residents. These photo ID cards are official documents that are used to prove a person's identity. Note: You may not hold both a DL and an ID card.

A Commercial Driver License (CDL) authorizes an individual to operate a commercial motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles used to transport passengers or property. Individuals applying for a Commercial Driver License should recognize that this is a professional license with more testing requirements than other licenses. PennDOT does not publish individual Driver License and Photo Center telephone numbers. All PennDOT's Driver License Centers are now equipped to accept payment cards. All PennDOT's Driver License Centers will still accept checks or money orders as forms of payment, but no cash. The Riverfront Office Center Customer Counter currently accepts checks, money orders, and cash. PennDOT will charge a fee of $62 or more for each check returned as uncollectible.

It is your responsibility to renew your license or ID on time whether or not you receive a renewal notice. Please keep your address current with us. See Address Changes. A postal forwarding order is not sufficient.

Review the Real ID information below if you have not already upgraded to a Real ID. If your existing license has a gold star in the upper right corner, you already have a Real ID and will maintain it through your renewal.

Make an appointment at the DMV offices in Carson City, Henderson, Las Vegas or Reno. The offices in Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno open at 8 a.m. Saturdays and offer a limited number of tickets for walk-in customers.

A knowledge test is required if you have had three or more moving violations or any license suspension, revocation, cancellation or denial within the last 4 years. You may also be required to pass a driving skills test.

The Department is authorized to waive the fee for homeless persons under 25 years of age to obtain an original, renewal or duplicate driver license or ID card. You must apply in person at DMV office and complete the declaration form.

A Real ID will be required for those who wish to use a driver's license or state ID to board aircraft beginning May 7, 2025. See DHS Real ID Information for details and other instances where a Real ID is required.

If your expiration date is less than 6 months away, the new year of expiration will be set four or eight years ahead. If the expiration date is 6 months to one year from the date of renewal, the year of expiration will be set seven years ahead.

The same 6-month rule applies if you are renewing more than a year ahead of expiration. For example, if the expiration is one year and five months from the date of renewal, the new year of expiration will be set three years or seven years ahead. If the expiration is one year and seven months away, the new year of expiration will be six years ahead.

Military/Federal - Nevada residents who are currently members of the Armed forces, their spouses, dependents or certain federal employees may be eligible to renew by mail up to 2 years after expiration. Please contact us for eligibility requirements.

Most drivers under 65 years of age and ID card holders of any age will receive a card that is valid for eight years. If you received a four-year card in the years 2014 to 2017, it will be converted to an eight-year term at renewal if you are otherwise eligible.

If U.S. immigration documents are used as proof of identity, the expiration of your license will coincide with the departure date on your immigration documents. These cards will be marked "LIMITED TERM".

If the departure date is eight years or more in the future, your card will be valid for eight years. Drivers 65 and older will be issued a four-year license if their departure date is four years or more in the future.

Before you renew, learn if a REAL ID is right for you- the only card version accepted starting May 7, 2025 for U.S. commercial air travel and entry onto military bases and select federal buildings.

A person with lawful status in the US of any age can get a non-driver ID card. You must apply at a DMV office. 1 We will give you a temporary non-photo document at the DMV office. Due to a greater than normal volume of renewals, there may be a delay in receipt of your permanent document. Your temporary document is valid for 60 days.

If you are under age 21, a parent or guardian can verify your identity by completing a Statement of Identity by Parent/Guardian (pdf) (MV-45). Your parent or guardian must sign it at the DMV, and they must present 6 points of proof of their identity. You must still provide proof of your date of birth and your Social Security Card or proof that you are not eligible for a card.

The parent of a child under age 16 can apply for a non-driver ID card for their child. The parent must complete a Statement of Identity by Parent/Guardian (pdf) (MV-45) and provide their child's Social Security Card (or proof they are not eligible for a card) and proof of date of birth.

Michigan's new driver's licenses and IDs with higher security features are now in circulation. Residents will receive the new license or ID design if applying for their first card or when renewing/replacing their current card. There is no additional cost for the new card and all valid features, designations, and endorsements on a current license or ID will transfer to the new one. Michigan's old card design featuring the Mackinac Bridge is valid until expiration and will phase out over the next five years.

To receive your first-time REAL ID-compliant license or ID, an office visit and further documentation are required.

No. Michigan will continue to issue standard driver's licenses and state ID cards that are not REAL ID compliant. However, as of May 7, 2025, if you plan to fly domestically or enter certain federal facilities, military bases and nuclear power plants, you will need to bring documentation that meets the REAL ID requirements.

You may request a replacement license through online services whether you are in state or out of state. A branch office visit will be required if you have changed your address within the last 10 days or renewed your license within the last four weeks.
