ThoughtWorks Pune is proud to have Arun Bhatia over at our office on
5th
March to speak to us about the current political scenario and how the
educated youth can make a difference.

Arun Bhatia, ex-Commissioner of PMC and independent Lok Sabha
candidate
from Pune during the 2004 elections, is now gearing up to contest the
2009 Lok Sabha elections. Bhatia's biography reads like, "a three
decade
long story of attempting to enforce honesty in a corrupt third world
bureaucracy." According to him, "the real enemy [is] the
establishment
in India." Between frequent transfers, numerous charges and
enquiries,
he has consistently demonstrated how one person with enough will can
enforce honesty even in a political system such as ours.
